I wake up to a rooster, in other words, my mother.

"Mom, stop yelling! My alarm didn't even go off yet," I shout frustrated. Does she not understand how important sleep is?

My mother sighs, "Yes, but it's your first day."

I look at her confused, "Your point being?"

She starts giggling, "I thought you might want to wake up earlier than usual to get a good impression or something."

"No," I whine, stretching out the word, "let me continue with my precious slumber."

She laughs and walks away, shutting the door. Finally.

I lay my head on my pillow to try and fall back asleep when suddenly 'BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP'-my alarm goes off.

I roll out of bed falling, ever so gracefully, on the floor with a thump. "Ow," I mutter grouchily.

I am not a morning person. I mean, who in their right mind you'd want to be woken up early to go to hell..err, school.

I get dressed in my new school uniform which is a black skirt ending above my knees and a white polo with the school's initials printed on the front.

I put on my mascara which made my light green eyes stand out and look bigger. I also straighten my hair and put on some cherry chapstick.

I head downstairs to see my mom placing plates of eggs and bacon on the plate. "Thank you," I say and immediately start eating.

My dad walks in the kitchen with my brother and gives my mom a kiss before looking at me. "Well, isn't this a wonderful sight to wake up to. My daughter eating like the Hulk," he says, amused.

"Wow, thanks dad, feeling the love," I say sarcastically.

I finish eating and grab my black Longchamp. "Farewell parents and youngest brother," I yell. My parents chuckle and I hear my dad faintly scream good luck before I slam the door.

I head to my car and start driving to my new school.

"Okay Lacey, everything is fine. Oh my gosh, what if they hit people with rulers since it's a private school? Wait, what if the teachers are really tough and I fail? Oh, what if I don't make any friends? What if everyone is snobby and preppy? Okay you know what, just listen to music," I nervously mutter to myself.

I turn up the music and What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber comes on. I start singing along the lyrics and not long after I'm dancing in my seat.

I arrive to school slower but my music still blasting. I nervously look around before hopping out.

Instantly, all the heads turn to me which causes me to walk a quicker pace towards the school. I walk into the school and finally find the front desk.

"Hi," I say shyly, "I'm new here. My name is Lacey Abruzzo, can I please have my schedule?"

The secretary types something on the computer and looks up with a smile, "Ahh, yes! Here you go," she said handing me the paper.

I take my schedule, thank her, and try to find my next class.

I find my math class and take a random seat. I look next to me and see a guy with square glasses showing his dark brown chocolate eyes. He has tanned skin, thin dark pink lips, and dark brown hair in a quiff.

He was actually very cute. I look up at his face to see his eyes widening, " You should probably move," he mutters quickly.

"Excuse me? Why would I move, is someone sitting here already," I question, slightly offended.
