"Geez," Alex frowned, "you scared the living daylight out of me!"
I was waiting for him outside the bathroom door. When he came out, thankfully fully dressed, he screamed like a girl. I smirked then became serious again.
"I need you to listen to something." I said leading him out to the living room. I motioned for him to sit down and then I sat beside him. I took out my phone. "I need you to listen to this to the end. Don't say a word." He nodded, sensing the mood. I pressed play.
"Hello?" Mom answered.
"Mom?" A replied.
"Oh Hana!" She sighed, "in glad you're alright. I heard from your big brother, you're with Alex right?"
"I am."
"He's not depressed is he?" She asked genuinely worried.
"No mom, he's not." I paused then asked, "He's not really a illegitimate child, is he?"
"Good heavens, no!"
"Really?" I asked relieved.
"Of course not."
"Then why did grandma say all those things about his family?"
"Don't listen to that old goose. You see I was supposed to marry Jeremy, Alex's dad."
"What?" I asked confused.
"Yeah, my mom planned the marriage, but we were friends and didn't want to ruin it. Plus I was in love with your father, and him in love with Alex's mother. We adamantly refused. So mom spiked our drinks and threw us in a small room, hoping we created an accident, but that totally backfired. While in our drunken state, we came up with the brilliant idea of eloping. With our loved ones of course. And that solved everything!" She explained.
"So Alex..."
"Was born a full year later. Totally legitimate."
"Oh..."
I paused the recording, nothing else on it had to do with Alex anyways. I looked at him, and touched his arm, but got no reaction. He was staring at the wall across from him, blankly.
"Alex, now that everything is solved, we should go home." I said, "I called the limo driver, he's waiting outside."
Alex finally blinked. Then a tear fell down his cheek. This wasn't good. He didn't seem to notice that he was crying. I awkwardly put my hand around him and patted his back.
"I'm sorry, you weren't ready yet." I apologized, "I thought it would make you feel better. It made me feel better, so I thought it would be the same for you. I'm so stupid, you should have heard it from your parents, not mine. I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just trying to help."
"Thank you," he whispered. Then the next thing I knew I was being twirled on the air. He was smiling so broadly that it made him look like a little kid. He put me back on the ground still holding me. "You don't know how tense I was over this. And you fixed me in a matter of minutes. I'm so happy right now. Don't apologize to me, ever! You're the best. The very best. I'm just soooo happy! So very happy! I'm so happy, I could... I could..."
He pulled me closer and kissed me. Really kissed me. And surprisingly I kissed back. We were so happy, that we momentarily lost our minds. We would regret this in a few minutes, but whatever. He ran his hands through my hair and I did the same. His hair was still wet from the shower and smelled like strawberries.
My phone rang at that moment, and we jumped apart like we sprouted extra heads. His face was smeared with my lipstick, and his hair was a mess. I'm sure I looked the same.
I turned off my phone, span around, away from him. "We should get going."
I basically ran to the limo.WHAT WAS I THINKING????????

Ahem, well what do you think? The first kiss. I'm a bit innocent to these things so tell me what you though?
The next chapter will be in Alex's POV, so look forward to it. We'll finally find out what's going on in that twisted head of his.
