JunieeeBee here goes my attempt at your beautiful idea.

So...im back!!! Came to drop off this story I wrote at 1 in the morning because I couldn't sleep, and college has been beating my ass.

How can you divorce someone you were never even married to?

Michelle asked herself this question more times than she wanted. Hell, she didn't even want to ask herself this question at all. Yet here she was going through a divorce, ending a five-year marriage to a woman she never even said I do to.

But if you asked Beyoncé, the two had wed the very day they met.

In the year 2000, Beyoncé was lost. Her group had disbanded for reasons she didn't fully understand, and suddenly, the dream she had spent years building felt as though it was coming to an end. Worst of all, she had lost two of her closest friends, girls she had considered sisters.

Her father suggested they find new members. And with his word being law, that was exactly what they did.

For weeks, the Knowles family searched for replacements. There was no grand plan behind the search- just two girls who could help them finish out the tour. No one seemed certain what would happen to the group once the tour ended. In truth, it wasn't even likely that this new lineup would last, but they found two girls anyway.

Matthew and Kelly found a girl named Farrah. She wasn't particularly exceptional when it came to talent, but she was pretty, and apparently, that was enough to satisfy their immediate needs.
Unfortunately, Beyoncé was not so easy to satisfy.

She spent months searching for someone who felt right. Beyoncé didn't want a replacement; she wanted someone who belonged.

There was no need for another pretty face standing beside them onstage. She wanted someone who could keep up vocally and match their relentless work ethic. More than that, she wanted someone with a good spirit, someone who could walk into the group and make it feel as though she had always been there.

For a while, it seemed as if Beyoncé would never find that person. Then, someone threw out a girl's name.

And unfortunately for Michelle, that was her name.

Admittedly, Michelle could not say it was all bad. She enjoyed being brought into the group, auditioning for the girls, and becoming a part of their world. More importantly, she did enjoy falling in love.

Michelle and Beyoncé were inseparable, attached at the hip almost from the moment Michelle joined the group. What started as Beyoncé wanting to make sure Michelle felt welcomed had quickly turned into something deeper. Michelle became the person Beyoncé looked for first when she entered a room, the person she wanted beside her during long rehearsals and exhausting interviews.

Somewhere along the way, Michelle had become hers, at least that was how it felt. However, feelings were far different from facts, and the fact was that Michelle didn't belong to Beyoncé, and Beyoncé certainly didn't belong to her.

Beyoncé belonged to her career. Every decision she made, every sacrifice, every relationship she entertained seemed to revolve around one thing: success.

Michelle had never faulted her for that. After all, Beyoncé had been a young girl with a dream long before she ever entered her life, and that dream hadn't disappeared simply because some girl from Illinois had managed to become important to her.

Michelle knew that being by Beyoncé's side wasn't good for either of them. They couldn't be the industry's power couple, definitely not publicly. Not when Beyoncé needed to maintain a certain image. And eventually, she found the person who fit that image perfectly: a famous rapper named Jay-Z.
