Daniel has a mysterious, confusing personality. He adopts traits from both America and Canada. New York is a surprisingly introverted person. "Dan", or "Danny" are common nicknames for him, but anyone who doesn't know him personally calls him "Daniel". Although he will never admit it, his hair has a lot of work put into it, with dye to gel to teasing to expensive shampoo. New York has a slim but masculine figure, and has most of his strength in his arms. He is about average height. His favorite things are music, coffee, and the night. As meetings, he is usually sitting in the corner, listening to popular music. Daniel is a slight neat freak, and really likes cleaning. Very chill, relaxed, like his best friend Florida. Although he is introverted, he doesn't mind people, as long as they're not loud and obnoxious. He loves listening to stories, or reading books. New York has a quiet flow of energy he puts into small tasks, taking in small details in everything he does. He is often confused for a girl with his haircut, which really pisses him off. He isn't the best when it comes to being emotional, as he usually has the poker face, or a relaxed smile on his face. Daniel never misses a baseball game, and practices the sport sometimes. NY is very smart, and uses it to his  advantage. Sometimes, he creates drama among the states just so he can sit back and laugh. He doesn't like the nations, mainly because he feels they overshadow the states. He wishes he was considered as important as a country, so he strives to be the very best(like no one ever was). New York doesn't have a natural talent for hand drawn art, but is always up to some new digital art design. He is a sucker for Photoshop too, and loves making funny pictures of the countries. His computer is something he goes everywhere with, and he treats his laptop with much care. The only thing that could make him feel better when he's sad is music. He dislikes being forced to talk about himself, hiking, and animals. But even though he doesn't really like nature, Virginia brings him plants and food from her garden often.
