Human age: 14

Hawaii, or Lola, is the youngest state. She is somewhat chubby, but doesn't look like she is unhealthy. Lola constantly wishes her name was Leila, but still likes Lola. Since she doesn't have any other states bordering her, she gets very lonely often. But this also sets her apart from the other states, and she hates being seen as different than other states, like she is some exotic animal. Hawaii doesn't know it, but she tends to push others away. All except Alaska, Mostly because he is the only other state who knows what it's like to have no neighbor states. They visit eachother's states sometimes, and always feel very awkward when they do. Her greatest flaw is the fact she isn't very accepting of other people's traditions, or way of life. It isn't that she doesn't like anything different, she just doesn't like new customs. Even though she doesn't know much about other traditions, since she is so isolated from the rest of the world, Hawaii still judges them. Mainly since hers will fade out soon, and she wants to keep them around for as long as possible. Lola would never admit it, but she LOVES candy. Almost more than tropical fruit. But she doesn't like anything more than pineapples. Her favorite are chocolate candy. Her greatest asset is her stubbornness, that keeps her from making stupid decisions. But she still has fun. Surfing and swimming take up most of her time, and if the weather outside is poor, she just listens to music. Since her native language only has 12 letters, she tends to cut off her sentences. Some things she likes are scaring away tourists, climbing trees, and hula dancing. Hawaii isn't completely shut out to nations, and enjoys hanging out with most of them, and has even become friends with Seychelles. They go to the beach together often, and talk about being (an) island/islands. Lola wasn't recognized by most other states until WWII. No one ever brings it up, as it will easily crush her positive attitude. She looks up to California for help, but usually never gets any useful advice. Cali tried to make her state into one like hers, and Hawaii didn't appreciate that to much. She has a dolfin tattoo on her shoulder that America does not approve of, and still thinks that it can be taken off.
