The rain was pounding on the grass and trees. Owltail had a kit in her jaws. She padded over to the lake with the kit and waited. A brown tom came over to her after a while. "What should we do with her Owltail? The clan's would banish us for sure if they find out that we had a kit." Owltail looked at the orange she kitten in her jaws with a sad look.
"We must get rid of the kit." Owltail sighed. Mudheart looked at her with shock. "B-but, this is our kit. Flamingkit. We can't just get rid of her like it's nothing!" Mudheart spat. Owltail placed the kit down on her paws and shook her tan fur. Her pelt was soaked from the rain.
"I know Mudheart! But I don't want to be banished either! You know how my leader is more strict with these kind of things! He will banish me for sure!"
Mudheart's fur bristled angerly. "My leader is like that too you know!"
Owltail looked down at Flamingkit with a sad look.It started to thunder, it made both the cats jump. "Well, Mudheart, what do you expect us to do with this kit?" Owltail spat. "I have an idea, this kit will live the easy life from now on. Mudheart picked up the kit by the scruff and was walking out of the forest with Owltail following.
They reached a twoleg den, and waited. Before they knew it, a kittypet walked out. "Can I help you warriors with something?? Please don't hurt me!" The cat froze. Owltail rolled her eyes. "We are not here to hurt you mouse brain." When she said that, Mudheart placed the kit by the kittypet.
"Ugh? You want me to take the kit?" Both the warriors nodded. "That can be done, but are you sure?" The warriors nodded again. "Well, ok then" the kittypet grabbed the kitten by the scruff and took her inside. Both the warriors walked back to each of their camps like nothing happened.
The rain still pounding on the hard ground all night long.
