Flora-

I don't speak to my mother. That's not the sort of relationship we have. Instead I dart up the stairs, and slide into my room with no more than a soft click of my door closing. Safe. My room is painted orange with a black chalk wall, my laptop sits on my desk and I drag myself over there. My screensaver is of Adam, grinning widely, though he's missing two teeth and his face is covered in chocolate. A message blinks in the corner and I click it delight pulsing through me.... ADAM! I click and wait, ready to read a stupid message about a last minute trip to the shops to by marshmallows in the middle of the night. But I am met by a video message from an unknown sender.

I click play and the video begins. First there is nothing and then a pale face appears, dominating the darkened screen. A boy, covered in bruises and blood barks into the screen...

"My name is Daniel Grey. I lived in england. I know you but you don't know me. It is imperative that you listen to me, yes listen to me. I understand your friend is missing... and so am I. Here are your instructions, to help me, to help your friend, and to help future children. There is a man named Gren. He takes children and leaves no evidence. Find my family and they will help you. Go. And never, ever, Say my name to my family."

The boy turns and then a scream rings out, The boy freezes before screaming out "AUDREY!!!" And running off the screen. For a second I glimpse a face. A battered, swollen face. Adam.
