Maya sighed as she looked at the new stable. It reminded her of home although it was much larger than any stable she's seen. She bit her lip trying not to weep at the thought of home, trying not to sob at the thought of Rose and the others, trying not to grieve at the thought of her friends she'd had to leave behind. Her mother must of been feeling the same thing as she took and squeezed Maya's hand. Mr. Townsend, the owner of the stable came to greet them "Hello, you must be the Jacobs. I am Mr. Townsend." He saluted as he shook Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs' hands (For ppl that are slow the Jacobs are the parents of Maya.) Mr. Jacobs nodded his greetings. "Father, Mr. O'Neil wants to discuss the training of th..." Brian Townsend's voice trailed off as he noticed the Jacobs. "Son these are the Jacobs, the new stable managers." Mr. Townsend introduced. Brian stood there and tried to ignore Kayla's flirty and admiring looks. Maya rolled her eyes. Kayla was always hitting on boys that were way out of her league. She's not the problem, the boys are. they're usually stuck up with their head in the clouds. "Well. I'll ask Jess to give you all a tour." Mr. Townsend said as he waved over a pretty dark-haired girl with blue eyes. "Hey I'm Jess! I guess I'm giving you the tour." She exclaimed cheerfully and shook Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs' hands. First she took us to the Breeding Barn, then the yearling's barn, the Mare's barn and finally their most prized horses. "Wow! This is cool!" I said excitedly. "Well I could get Kean to show your parents and siblings to the office and then I could show you a pregnant mare. She's old but her bloodlines are good." Maya looked at her father pleadingly. "Alright." He said giving in. it was easy to get him to cave.
