Matagal ko ng mahal ang pagkanta. Bata palang ako, I was always chosen to join singing contests. And to my luck, consistent ang pagkapanalo ko.
I'm the vocalist of the famous band in our city. BLIND TURN. But in this industry, hindi nawawala ang rivalry. Kung sino mas angat, kung sino mas sikat. INFINITE, a boyband group with seven members. We are good friends, pero sa stage we're rivals.
Happening now is the awarding of winners of this year's Battle of the Bands.
"And this year's Winner is...."
I closed my eyes, hoping our band name will be called. 1....2...3....
"INFINITE!!!!!!"
Napadilat ako. Surprised at hindi makapaniwala na natalo nila kami. Of course, magaling din sila. We wouldn't be rivals kung hindi kami magkalevel. Alam kong one day, mananalo sila against samin. Pero I didn't know that it will be today.
"And there's a special announcement..."
All of us are intrigued about the announcment that the MC is going to say.
"Kathleen and Laureen of Blind Turn are requested to join INFINITE in their upcoming concert."
Kathleen? Me? Laureen? My sister? Why? What is happening? Everyone is screaming their cheers.
"SAY YES! SAY YES!" everyone chants.
How can we say no in front of these people who are expecting that we would say yes? I looked at my sister. She nodded.
"So what's your answer?" The MC gave the mic to me.
"We'd be honored."
I smiled at the audience. And looked at Infinite and smiled too. It's for the fans. All fans were chanting INFINITE & BLIND TURN.
I don't know if my decision was right, but I can't do anything now.
