"Samantha we need to get out of here, Kaitlyns home," Nancy called. Sure enough Kaitlyn's car lights shone through the bathroom window. Terrified Samantha bolted out of the bathroom door and to Kaitlyn's bedroom to find Nancy, but she was gone.

"Nancy," Samantha exclaimed. No answer, this made Samantha suddenly more terrified, and confused to why Nancy would leave her. She knew that if she was to be caught she would stand very little chance at becoming normal at school. So she ran, she didn't know where she was running to but she knew that she had to get out of there, and fast. She ran down a very long hallway and was suddenly stoped at a dead end. She paused to take a deep breath until she heard foot steps walking down the hall. In a panic she froze.

"Samantha?" asked a familar voice. Realization then hit, it was Nancy. "Come on, Kaitlyn's making her way upstairs, there should be a door to your left." Sure enough Samantha found the door handle and pushed the door in. The room was very dark, and was lit by only one very small window.

"Nancy, I can't fit through that." Silence. "Nancy?" Still no answer, the only sound that filled the giant house was tapping. The tapping got louder and louder with every step taken.

"Hello, Devon is that you?" Kaitlyn called. Oh shit, thought Samantha I have nothing to lose, and with that last thought she grabbed the windowsill and began to squeeze her tiny frame through the window and onto the window ledge. Suddenly the light in the room flickered on, and Samantha began to panic. That's when she spotted a pool below, and jumped. Splash, and her whole body was put under water. Water began to fill her lungs as she floated to the top. She began to swim to the edge, and pull her shaky body over onto the cement. Where she layed there looking up at the blurry street lights from the water in her eyes. Her body suddenly went into coughing fits, and she knew if she didn't want to get caught she would have to leave. So she began to run, but as she ran she couldn't help shake the feeling that someone was watching her...

Samantha heart began to pump and her wet clothes began to swish as she ran home. She was filled with so much adrenaline from the adventure she just took. As she began to turn the corner to the street she lived on. When suddenly she ran into something hard that caused her to tumble onto the pavement. " Are you okay?" said a voice. It took her a while before she realized that the voice was coming from Devon.

She froze, and began to stutter " Um-m, well yep-p."

"Are you sure your okay? You don't seem okay. Maybe I should take you to a doctor."

"No-o, I'm fine."

" At least let me walk you home," he said with a boyish smirk. The moonlight shone down on the two, casting shadows under the streetlights. The stars twinkled in the sky, and a trees danced in the wind. The night seemed almost magical.

"Were here," Said Samantha as she walked up her driveway, Devon followed close behind.

" Hey I wouldn't be a gentleman if I didn't walk you to your door," he whispered. Samantha's heart began to pound as she looked into his eyes. She felt like she was living in a Disney movie.

"Thanks," she wanted to say more but she couldn't bring herself to say anything else She looked once more at him then closed the door behind her. Her heart began to ache knowing that Devon wasn't hers.
