Chapter five: bro fight

Scarlet stops the taxi at a park letting Andrew go off and play on the swings knowing her brother and parker wouldn't be fair behind them and that it was time to face the truth. Once Scarlet sat down on a bench within eye distance of Andrew she hears Parker's truck pull up and the doors slams. Kyle comes over and sits down next to his baby sister.

"what the hell Scar?" Kyle asks "mum didn't mean any of that its just been really hard the last-" he started but was cut off by Scarlet "don't defend her you know she meant every word of it, she's always been that way and maybe she was right I shouldn't of come back" scarlet said letting the tears fall freely, Kyle grabs a hold of his sister and lets her cry.

After a few minutes scarlet wipes away the tears and pulls herself together "look I'm sorry for leaving like I did, but you know mum if she had known she would have made me marry Andrew's father just like Maddison had to marry Matt when she fell pregnant with peter" Scarlet final said "Are you going to tell me who the bastard is who left you to raise that little boy along and gave you no other option but to run away?" Kyle asked "okay I have a confusion I lied to you back at the house" scarlet said with a sigh before continuing "I never told Andrews father about him" she confused to her big brother "scarlet no more lies who is Andrews father?" Kyle said calmly for his sisters sake and his nephew who was 15ft away from them.

Scarlet's throat went dry musing up the courage to tell him the truth "P-parker, I-is Andrew's f-father" scarlet stuttered.

Without a author second of thought Kyle got up out of his sit walking over to Parker who was now sitting in his truck, Kyle open's the driver side door and pulls Parker out of the car grabs his shirt slamming him up against the truck door punching him right in the eye all while his sister and nephew are watching.

"Andrew get in the truck now" scarlet says helping parker into the back sit and jumping behind the wheel, driving off leaving an enraged Kyle there to walk back to his parents house.

"Matt, Josh can you get out here" scarlet yelled from the car after pulling up in front of her parents home, josh and matt come rushing out and getting parker inside the house, Maddison come out of the house to get Andrew for Scarlet and they all went inside.

"what the hell happened" Emily asked walking into the room looking at her sister, who was in the kitchen getting ice for Parker eye "Kyle punched him, I'll explain later" Scarlet responded handing the ice to Parker "maybe you could explain it to me" Parker said sitting the ice on the bruise, that's when Scarlet got scared she'd have to tell him sooner or later she was just hoping for later "yeah I will just not now, I have to get Andrew dinner" she said looking outside to see Andrew playing with the other kids and also noticing it was getting dark. Scarlet went outside to the back porch "Andrew honey, come in side please" she yelled out and he being the good boy he did listened.

They both walked into the kitchen "has anyone eaten?" scarlet asked the whole household they all responded with no "okay me and my sue chef will make our famous beef and salad tacos" scarlet said looking down at the son who was fill with joy. As they prepared the meal their was lots of laughter and love from the whole family until April, scarlet's mother walked in the room and it all went silent.

"And what is this?" April asked "it's roast night, not Mexican, this is ridiculous" she added "maybe it's time for a change mum" said Emily holding josh's hand tight scared of her mother wrath, "just try some" added Maddison handing her mother a taco, April refused and walked out of the kitchen.

"she'll come around Scarlet" said Maddison with a half smile. Ben Scarlet's father got up from his sit and gave his daughter a hug holding her tight and whispered "were all so happy your home" she smile up at her dad, they had always been close and she wanted that for Andrew more then life itself she would have to tell Parker soon Andrew desires more then just herself she thought letting go off her father. Scarlet looked down at her son and said "I think it's time for you to go to bed little men" "fine" he said frustrated with having to leave the party.

"mum why doesn't your mum like you or me and why did uncle Kyle punch his friend?" Andrew asked being tuck into bed in the spare room "why don't you get some rest ad I'll explain later as long as you go to sleep, deal? Scarlet said trying to avoid the question for now first she needed to tell Parker "deal" Andrew responded rolling over onto his side.

Scarlet walked back into the kitchen to find Maddison and Ashley getting their families together and ready to leave, ash come up to Scarlet giving her a hug and saying "Kyle texted his at home, I'll come by tomorrow with the twins " then walking out of the house Maddison also gave her sister a hug and told her "glad your home sis" then leaving with matt and peter, josh was also on his way out and scarlet hug him and whispered "thanks for being there for my baby sister" and kissed his check Emily went off to bed once josh had left. leaving Scarlet to do the dishes.

As she filled the sink with soapy water Parker walked in from the back porch were him and Scarlet's father had been. "here let me do that, you cooked" he said walking in to the kitchen and taking over the dishes "thank you, it's nice not having to do the dishes for once being on your own no one else does them" she said thankful "yeah that must have been hard, being alone I mean" Parker said in a sympathetic voice. Scarlet just nodded trying to get the courage to tell him the truth. Parker turned around from the dishes looking up at Scarlet and said

"So when where you going to tell me that I had a son?"

Was Kyle out of line by punching Parker or was he doing the right thing?
