"I guess we'll have to use Arthur after all." I sighed. As it turned out, Vlad knew magic, but that knowledge didn't extend to shooting stars and resurrection.
Maybe Artie's didn't either, but it was worth a shot.
"Maybe ve should send somebody else." Gil suggested. "It vould be safer."
"I want to apologise to him anyway." I insisted, starting to walk back to Gil's apartment.
"But zhink of how he treated jou. He forgot jou even existed, Mattie." Gil followed right behind me.
"Yeah, I'm over that now."
"Vhat?"
"Oui. I thought killing them would help. But now I just feel guilty."
"Jou feel...Guilty..." Gilbert stopped walking and I turned to look at him.
"Yeah. a bit."
Gilbert looked absolutely shocked.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
He shook his head, face returning to its normal state.
"Nozhing." He said, taking my hand and pulling me along to his home.
