I glare at her and she sips from the wine glass before speaking, "You don't remember your aunty Lacie? So sad."
I cross my arms, "My mother didn't have a sister."
She sighs, "What about your father?"
I laugh, "You don't look 12 feet tall and faceless. Although I can sense that you lack a heart."
She puts her glass down and sits up, "Your father is my brother. I take more after mother but that doesn't mean I'm not terrifying."
I chuckle, "Where's my family?"
She clenches her fist and takes a deep breath, "They're not here, Sweetie. They went on a...trip."
I bite my lip, "I'm losing my patience. Tell me now or I will kill you."
She giggles, "I'm immortal, I don't think you could harm me."
"Tell me now. I've killed many immortal beings, you wouldn't be any different."
She bites her lip and stands up, her hip bones poking out from under her dress, "If you want them, hand over the power."
"What power?"
"Your power! All of it! I want all of it!"
"Nope."
"What?"
"Nope."
"If you won't give it to me then I'll rip it out of you!"
I laugh, "Are you seriously challenging someone a lot more powerful than you? That's honestly really stupid, especially if you want my power. Saying that you want it is acknowledging that I have something better than what you have. You're honestly one of the stupidest people I've encountered. Especially because you want to fight me in a long, form fitting dress, at least my skirt allows for more movement."
She stares at me in anger but I keep my smile. I get the urge that she's going to make a move and I sprint out of the house, her following slowly behind. I stand outside the house waiting for her. She stumbles out breathless, "You're speed won't save you." She throws her heels into the grass and I laugh.
I tie vines around her ankles and they slowly climb her legs, "Speed isn't the only thing I do." She looks around and makes a screeching noise. I hear rustling in the bushes behind me. I turn around and something tackles me, it pins me to the ground and I feel a sharp pain begin to cut my face. Jeff. I flip him over to the ground and pin him down with thick thorny vines. I rip the knife from his hands put it in my back pocket, he can't cut me without his knife. I look at his face closely and everything looks normal, "Jeff!" I yell but he doesn't respond, he only tries to get loose from the vines. I stare at his eyes. His pupils take up all the iris in his eye. I turn to Lacie and tighten the grip of the vines. Another screech comes from her mouth and this time I see it coming, Jack and Ben try to attack me. As soon as they show themselves I sink them into the dirt. I look at Lacie. "You're controlling them!"
She smiles a little, "Terrifying right?"
I tighten the vines around her throat and the last squeal comes out, my father and Hoodie come out of the bushes. Dad's tentacles try to trap me. I sink Hoodie into the ground but that's all I have time before Dad tries to attack me again. "Dad!" I yell and he pauses before an attack. Her grip on him must be weaker. I avoid his attacks, trying to call his name but being ignored each time. Then the idea hits me. I release Lacie from the vines and she laughs as she walks over to me. I stand still and she punches me in the face. I then begin to cry. She pulls my hair and I make the noise of a sob. I see my father twitch, I'm getting to him. I kick Lacie in the stomach to get her away from me and I force more tears until I'm sobbing. As I make the pathetic sounds I whisper for my father to help me, slowly getting louder before I hear,
"Anabelle! What's wrong?" In his deep, worried voice.
I trap Lacie in vines and point to her, "She punched and and pulled my hair... She tried to kill me Dad."
I see him break completely from the trance. He looks at Lacie in anger and slowly walks over there. I see his tentacles come from his back and wrap around her.
"Lacie! How dare you attack my daughter! You will pay!" He says before making the kill. I've never seen him kill before, only heard about it. It's a truly gruesome sight. He throws her body on the ground and I walk over to it. She still breaths but I don't intend to allow that for very long. She opens her eyes to me and I smile,
"You may be immortal to anyone else, but not to me." I stab a diamond into her heart and absorb all of her life essence. I can put this in someone else, someone who deserves that power.
"Why are we in the ground?" I hear BEN ask from behind me.
"WHY THE HELL AM I IN VINES AND WHERE IS MY KNIFE??" Jeff yells.
I laugh, "I have a lot to tell you guys."
