Louis’ P.O.V

Laying here with Maya in my arms felt so right. As cliche and stupid as it sounds, it’s true. But I can’t fully appreciate having her here with the guilt that I’m carrying around. Firstly because of last week. Even though she told me she forgives me, I still don’t think she did completely. I don’t blame her either.

But that’s not the only thing that’s eating me away.

Eleanor. I still haven’t told Eleanor about Maya and vice versa. To be completely honest with you, I’m terrified about their reactions. I know for a fact that Eleanor with be totally pissed at me. Right now I don’t really care about that. What I care about is Maya.

It’s not like I don’t care about Eleanor at all, I do, so much. But I’m afraid that Maya will run off again. Over the weeks since we met, she’s told me how many people have left her in her past and all the sh*t she’s gone through over the years. I know that Eleanor with only add to the list of people and I don’t want that for her.

“Louis.” A voice whispered. “Louis!” This time a little louder. My eyes slowly opened and I was met with angry brown eyes.

“What the hell are you doing, Louis!?” Liam whisper-yelled.

“Sh, Maya’s sleeping,” I whispered to him. My gaze focused on Maya to make sure she was still asleep. I sighed in relief when I noticed she was.

“You think I don’t know that!?” Liam replied. “What are you doing sleeping with her?”

“Why are you being like this, Liam? It’s not like I could just let her be by herself after that. What would you have done?” His eyes softened a little and he sighed.

“Just bring her to her bunk,” he told me. My arms tightened around her, not wanting her to leave.

“No, I’m staying here,” a feminine voice spoke. I looked down and saw Maya looking up at me with her blue eyes wide and innocent. I couldn’t help but smile at her.

“No, Maya. You need to go back to your bunk,” Liam said sternly.

“Why?” she wondered. I was wondering the same.

“Cause Eleanor’s going to be here any second,” he informed us. My breath hitched in my throat and my eyes went wide. Eleanor?

“Who’s Eleanor?” Maya asked. Liam gave me a look that told me he was clearly pissed off.

“You mean, you don’t know who Eleanor is?” Liam clarified. She shook her head. “Then ask Louis.” With that he left the room.

“Louis...who’s Eleanor?” Maya hesitantly asked me.

“She’s...uh...she’s my, uh, girlfriend,” I mumbled. I heard her breath get caught in her throat and I reluctantly looked down at her. Her eyes were starting to water and I could see her lip trembling a little.

“Your girlfriend?” she repeated. I cast my gaze to the floor and slowly nodded. Within a second, Maya jumped up from the couch and ran into the bathroom, slamming it shut behind her. I could hear her sobs and my heart ached.

I never thought this would have that kind of effect on her.

Harry’s P.O.V

Niall, Zayn, and I were all hanging around in the lounge room as Liam went to go wake up Louis. Eleanor’s supposed to be over any minute and he’s still not up.

“I’m gonna go wake up Maya,” Niall stated before he left the room.

“And then there were two,” I mumbled.
