Bright light shined in my eyes, making me wake up from my not so usual pleasant sleep. There were arms wrapped around me and I immediately jerked up from my bed. Whoever it was sat up straight and worry filled their eyes. I sighed when I realized it was just Louis. For some reason, I forgot about last night until now.
"What's wrong?" a worried Louis questioned. I smiled and shook my head.
"Nothing. I just forgot about all this stuff for a minute," I assured him. He smiled but it quickly turned into a frown.
"It's cold," he complained. A small smirk appeared on his face and I knew what he was saying. I rolled my eyes but climbed back into the bed anyway with a smile and curled myself into him like the night before. His arms wrapped themselves around me and I sighed in contentment.
"You know, you're parents are coming back today. They should be here any minute," Louis reminded me. I groaned and got up again.
"Thanks for the reminder," I grumbled. I made my way downstairs to make breakfast, leaving Louis upstairs. I'm not a big breakfast person, but I wasn't sure about Louis. So I decided to make something. A little bit of everything since I don't know what he likes. I made two omelets, a package of bacon, home-fries, pancakes, waffles, two breakfast sandwiches, and some sausage along with toast. I doubt Louis will eat it all, but I guess my parents can eat the rest.
Footsteps started making their way into the kitchen so I busied myself with making myself some tea. Raspberry tea. Yum! My favorite. It's the only tea I'll drink, though. So it makes sense that it would be my favorite. There was no noise but I knew Louis was in the room. I took a sip of my tea and turned around to see Louis standing there just staring at the food.
"Did you just make all this?" he wondered. I smiled and nodded.
"Holy shit!" My eyes widened at him and I stomped over to him, making it all dramatic and everything.
"Do NOT swear in front of me or you will be hit," I informed him. I kept to what I said and slapped the side of his head a little, although it wasn't enough to hurt him. He glared at me.
"Don't do it and we won't have problems," I said smiling and went back to where I was standing behind the island with my tea.
"You are a lot like my friend, you know that?" he said.
"Really?"
"Yeah. He hates it when we swear."
"Well then I think we would get along very well." He nodded.
"Do like tacos? Apple juice? Cats?" he questioned.
"LOVE THEM! Delicious! And allergic," I replied.
"You're allergic to cats?" I nodded. I motioned to the food on the counter and he began to eat. Seconds later my parents came bursting through the front door, almost scaring the pee out of me. I said practically, not that it happened.
"Good news, Maya!" my mom squealed. I shook my head.
"What is it?"
"We got a cat!" she responded. I looked at her for a moment in shock. Did she really get a cat or is she faking it? Sure enough, my dad appeared next to her with a cat carrier. They really got a cat. When they know I'm allergic! Or they forget. Which is just as likely.
Almost immediately my allergies kicked in. My eyes began to water, my nose started to get runny, the sneezing repeatedly started up along with coughing and wheezing. It felt as if my lungs were closing; there was no way I could breathe. I sat down on the floor and kept wheezing from the small portion of air I could breathe. Unfortunately, I am one of the people who have very strong allergies and the reactions start up pretty quickly.
