Rummaging through the human's tree den that smelt of various dead animals and flowers of some sort, sitting on the bed of the tree den was my little pup. His dead glare embedding into my head with all the memories of his death coming back.
Picking him up, he didn't squirm, he wasn't even warm... I knew he was dead. Silently as I cried, my little pup... dead, it still haunts me, the moments that took place when he died. Clank! Creak! I heard ahead of me, glancing up my eyes met the evil eyes of the human holding the silver stick. I stared into his eyes for a second grasping onto the black, deadly rings upon his eye. My last chance, I took a leap from the bed in the hunters tree den and ran into the forest with my baby in my mouth.

Deep in the forest, I found a flat rock that had probably fallen off the mountain that stood tall and proud, taller than the trees in the forest. I set down my little pup on the Rock and laid beside him. Giving a small kiss on his nose, trying to revive him to return to my paws. I want his happy personality back, the warm kisses, and the tiny yips of his bark. I began singing the lullaby that I always sang to him every night when the bright white lake would appear in the sky. My melodious howl filling up the empty doing nature gave for me to be with my pup.I stared into the dead glossy eyes as I sang; once I finished, another warn kiss on his nose as I slid down where my broken heart met the cold, hard rock. Crunch! I heard the snow sing out in the distance in front of me. Glancing up, I growled at the sight of the hunter waving his shiny stick pointed at me. I stood in front of my pup standing my ground, protecting my baby, doing what I should've done the day he was shot. "HA! HA!" He yelled, furiously waving the shiny stick as if he was shooing me away.
I took one slight glance at the glossy eyes and then growled even louder at the hunter. He wasn't backing down. I watched as his scummy paws, or a stupid excuse for paws, reached into his pockets and grasp the golden bees that took part of my ear, and his life. Without any hesitation, I ran towards the hunter with his shiny stick up against the side of my face.
I stared into his black deadly eyes that glared both fear and anger within them, I stared back at him pleading to him, let me and my baby go. Leave us alone you scum. BANG! YELP! I could barely see out of my left eye, I could barely even keep it open. I could feel the warming sensation of blood trickle down my face. CRUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH! I heard the snow as the hunter ran back to his den with my pup in his grasp. I continued to yelp, trying to rid the pain.
Once it dissipated I let out a loud growl chasing down the oddly shaped prints that he left. There he laid on the ground without his shiny stick in his paws. As I charged he leaped down with his stick pointing it at me, all it did was click. This was my chance, taking it I rammed my head it I his skinny body, there was no fur, just flesh. Up against a rock, I stared up at him with all of his paws useless to saving himself.
Pulling away from the stone and him on my head, I flung the Hunter still holding his shiny stick. It felt like the entire world slowed down for a moment as the Hunter slammed into the snow. AROOOOOOO! I howled as he landed, soon growling I looked down the mountain side and saw my baby at the bottom with his cold eyes staring into mine, depressed, scared and hurt.
Vision a little blurred by the tears I was shedding when the glossy eyes were embedding itself into my eyes. I kept off that rock and ran as fast as my legs would let me go. BANG! The golden bee that the Hunter had exited the shiny stick of his and entered my body as I yelped.
Tumbling down the mountain side, stopping only inches away from my baby. My breathing becoming heavy as warm liquid ran out of my chest. The Hunter approached and grabbed a hold of my baby; I whimpered, whined and waved my paw begging him to give me back my baby. Painfully I howled my lullaby, within each whimper a soft howl would come out.
The day my baby died played back in my head, it felt like I was actually there as it played. The scents from that moment; the smell of burnt dust, the hunter smell, and the smell of death; the blood that my baby had shed, the pain in my ear when the golden bee buzzed through it, and the shear pain of loosing the one thing that I had left to love. Taking my last breath, everything went dark.
A light soon appeared, but I just couldn't make out what was going on, or what the small grey blob was in the distance. Once my vision came in clear, I saw the tiny grey blob running towards me with a wag in his tail. Once he reached me the little pup tripped over his own paws and stopped on his belly saying, "What took you so long mama?"
Smiling, I rubbed my head against his back and he rubbed his against my neck. After our exchange of love, down the beautiful green field we walked together, now to be together for all eternity.
