I laid down on the bed next to my mom. the only this audible was the crickets chirping outside and our breathing, mine obviously over powering my moms due to the life saving machine I have hooked up to me. I closed my eyes to be welcomed by the dark.

I woke up to the warm sum peeking through the blinds. "moving day!" my mom sung. I chuckled at her and to the pillow I rested my head on and softly hit her cheek with it. she responded with a giggle and got up to help me with my contraption. we both showered and gathered our few things. "are we ever going to get are other things from dad?" I questioned on our way to my aunts house, well my temporary home. "i dont know. I'm going to have to divorce him and yada yada yada. lets forget about that for today and enjoy the beautiful day!" she flung her arms up wiggling her fingers. "you, are weird." we both laughed until we arrived at the two-story beige home. I opened up the door and greeted my aunt and her husband, uncle john. they helped carry in our bags and settled in.

"you and your mother will take the guest room, there is two beds and one bathroom." she smiled sweetly at me and let my mother and I to unpack and get comfortable.

I woke up to the smell of bacon a few weeks after we have arrived at my aunts. I was very comfortable and used to being here now. I also loved living with my aunt and uncle. it was such a difference then living with my dad and brother. I walked into the kitchen and ate. today my mom was leaving for a five day trip. she has gotten another job at the diner, the royal diner, down the street from us. we also have not heard from my dad or brother yet. I was fine with that. "good morning sweet heart. I'm leaving for work. here's breakfast. call me if you need anything. love you!" "love you too." we shared a smile and she left to her busy day of working at who knows where.

I washed my plate and silver ware. I showered and got dressed. my mom has gotten me a tutor to help me with my school work now, so I did not have to leave my house to goto school. I tried to walk everyday to see the outdoors, and since my aunt lived in a beautiful neighborhood, I loved to walk. I could only walk for a short period obviously.

I exited my front door and took my normal route. I was thrown off when I approached the end of the street. there was a familiar boy standing there... Mikey.

I kept walking and finally approached him. "hi." I said. he jerked his head back and smiled. "hi Ryder." "I haven't talked to you! sorry I haven't texted you or anything..." "no no no, my fault. guy is suppose to text the girl first. actually I was in Los Angela's for a few weeks. I'm a dancer and I did some classes and took some classes." "oh that's so cool! I didn't know you danced." "oh yeah! hey do you maybe wanna go out or something tomorrow..?" he bit his lip, obviously nervous of rejection.. "sure." he smiled in relief. "alright, uh where do you live?" I pointed down the streets. "okay I'll text you." we both smiled and waved.
