Chapter Three

Clare headed outside the dorm spotting Braxton. "H-Hey Braxton" She shouted. Noticing her his face grew slightly flustered remembering the other day of how she protected him from that demon. All last night he was up thinking about it. Looking down towards his feet hiding his blushing face he mumbled. "H-Hey Clare." He stuttered saying her name. Walking up to him she noticed Braxton was looking down. Thinking she kept him waiting he was upset with her. "I'm sorry Braxton I am late please don't be mad at me." She had as pouty look on her face. Braxton's eyes widened hearing she thought he was mad at her. "You didn't keep me waiting." He mumbled under his breath keeping his head down. Clare stared at him intently. "O-Okay, but what's wrong?" He looked up at her avoiding to look directly at her he scratched the back of his neck in confusion on how to answer. "N-Nothing, I just couldn't sleep, I am a bit tired." He yawned. Clare sighed. "Okay, let me know alright?" She peered into his face. Braxton immediately stepped back his face flustered. "W-What are you doing?!" He shouted.

She was a little taken back hearing him yell. "S-Sorry, I was just trying to see if you looked sick." Braxton let out a loud sight. "Its alright, you just caught me off guard. I don't know many people who would peer into someone's face like that. " "O-Oh. Well I am sorry I didn't mean to startle you." He glanced around quickly seeing if anyone was looking at them. "Lets just get to class. We have Math, Biology , World History and Gym this semester. You're lucky you are in all my classes, well besides gym." Clare nodded giving a soft cute smile. "Yeah." Taking the lead Braxton walked ahead of her at a fast paste hoping Clare didn't happen to notice his flustered face. Thinking about him, made him feel more embarrassed. Not glancing back he continued to walk Clare following behind him. "Hey Braxton?" "U-Ugh yeah?" She put her arms around his waist hugging him from behind her breast slightly brushing up against his back. "Thank you for all you're help you are a really good friend". Braxton blushed hard feeling her hug him. "Y-You're welcome." He stuttered his words, too embarrassed to speak. She let go smiling. "Really thank you." He nodded "L-lets get go class before the bell rings.

" The bell rang. "Let's hurry Braxton". They both ran into the school running up the stairs to the 4th floor down the hall to Math class. Both panting they had their hands on their knees trying to catch their breath. After about a minute of to catch their breath they entered the classroom. The Teacher Mrs. Shifter stared intently at them giving them each a cold glare. "You're both late, but since Clare is new I will let you both get off the hook this time. Now go take your seats." Both Clare and Braxton nodded taking their seats at the back of the class. The classroom was quiet and uncomfortable. After about ten minutes Mrs. Shifter spoke up. "Get a textbook and do questions from one to sixth-teen on pages one hundred fifth-teen to one twenty. " Clare glanced over at Braxton unsure of where the textbooks were. "Mind getting me one please?"

 She asked giving him a slight gentle smile. Braxton sighted and nodded getting up and grabbing a text book. "Only one left we need to share." "Okay." She nodded moving her desk beside his and taking out a piece of paper and starting on the question. "Clare do you understand it?" She shrugged. "Not really, but I think I got this right." He glanced at her paper. "Yeah, that's correct." He smiled giving her a thumbs up. Working hard all math class the bell rang. "Lets go to our next class science." Clare nodded. "Yeah, lets go to science." Getting up Clare's ankle caught in his backpack strap that was on the floor tripping she fell into Braxton's arms. Him catching her and embracing her into his arms. "Are you alright?" He asked gently and concerned. "Yes, I am fine. Thank you." Realizing how close their faces we're to one another both of their faces grew flustered from embarrassment. Clare quickly stepped back. "S-Sorry.." She mumbled.

Braxton bit down on his bottom lip before speaking as if he we're nervous. "I-Its alright, let just go to science." Thinking to himself at how their noses were close to even touching he blushed his cheeks a pinkish red. "I-I could have kissed her." He thought regretting he didn't he walked with his head down to biology, with Clare following behind him. She still didn't have a school bag for now, she just shared with Braxton. Taking their seats the teacher looked at Clare. "Excuse me miss are you in this class?" He questioned. She looked up at the tall male. Giving a slight nod, being a little shy. "She's new here, got here yesterday. Her name is Clare Rockdale and she is new to this school. She transferred here yesterday." The teacher checked his list. "O-Oh that makes sense, just you haven't been added to my class yet. Wait one second." He walked over to the phone picking it up he called the headmaster. "Hello, is Clare Rockdale a student here and in my biology class?" The headmaster checked her schedule. "Are you Mr. Aladdin?" "Yes I am." The headmaster sighted. "She's in your class, guess I have forgotten update the attendance. I'll do that now." With that, the headmaster hung up. "Okay, Miss Clare take your seat." Both Braxton and Clare took their seat in the middle row.
