Chapter Nine

Karou's eyes widened at the scene, Braxton was laying flat on the bed, his skin pale. The blood looked like it had been drained from his entire body, and immediately he knew. Alice had drank his blood, for what he didn't know, but at the same time he was furious. Clare had started to take a liking to Braxton as a friend, and if she had found out what happened, this could cause trouble. His hands slight quivering, he immediately clenched his fist. Gritting his teeth, he couldn't help but let out a small growl in frustration. "Alice what the fuck did you do!?" He shouted. Alice glanced over at him, a calm look on her face, letting out a small sigh. "Look, calm down wouldn't you? He asked me to turn him into a vampire because, well I am guessing he wants to go with you to save Clare. Karou's eyes widened wide, after hearing this. "Wait what? You got to be fucking shitting me. You mean you actually did it? Just why?" "Well you see, he wanted me to help him, and I needed blood at the same time, so it was a bonus anyway, but calm down. He will wake up in a few hours".  Letting out a small sigh escape his lips, he started to calm down unclenching his fist. "Fine, but if something happens to go wrong I blame you got that Alice?"

"Yeah yeah, whatever you say your majesty". She rolled her eyes, slipping her arms underneath one another and crossing them. After this everything went silent, Kaoru was standing patiently, and Alice leaned up against the window ceil, he back pressed up against the wall with her arms crossed, and her legs on top of one another. Finally Karou spoke. "What happens when a human, that has been transferred into a vampire happens to wake up?" Tensing up at the question slightly, Alice turned her gaze away from him, facing the bed where Braxton seeped a death, slowly turning. "Well, Kaoru you see, well. It's hard to explain, when a pureblood vampire happens to change a vampire, the humans heart will stop, and it will seem like they are dead. Well, to be precise, they do die, but they wake up, and they are reborn as vampires. This means once he wakes up, I suggest you leave the room, he will be starving for blood, and will attack anyone who is nearby, until he able to regain his full consciousness". interrupting her, Karou spoke. "Wait, I have a question what exactly is a pureblood vampire anyway. Someone who's lived forever?"

Shaking her head, Alice thought for a moment thinking of a way to explain the life span, and the difference between normal vampires and purebloods. "The thing is, a pureblood vampire is someone with pureblood. That means incest, lots and lots of it, my parents were brother and sister. Our families blood stays the same. Strong and powerful as ever. From the first few vampires, that means, when children were created they would try and protect their bloodline by keeping the same blood inside them. A pureblood is a lot stronger then a vampire.  We differ in many different ways, our health and healing ability. The easiest way to explain it is, do not compare a regular vampire to a pureblood, that is why there is the word "Pureblood". Do you understand now Karou, we are very different.". Giving a slight nod, he nodded. Both of them glancing back at Braxton, his arm slightly twitched.

"S-Shit, Kaoru, I suggest you get out of here immediately, this could get ugly for the most part. Shaking his head stubbornly, Karou stood there, moving his arms up underneath of one another and crossing them, and raising a slight eyebrow. "Hmm? Why not show me what a pureblood can do then, I can protect myself thank you very much". Moving again, Braxton, his eyes a bright red, he pushed himself up to a sitting position, using his arms for support. He placed the palm of his heads on the bed, pulling himself up. His eyes were no longer human, they were a bright red. His hair was the same, but his skin was still had grown to be paler. Something had changed about him, his heart had stopped, and his stomach was aching. Their was a burning sensation in his throat. "A-Ack.... Why does my throat hurt so much? Did it actually work?" Slightly surprised by how Braxton was responding, and not immediately attacking Braxton, she hesitantly stepped closer to him, taking a step forward. Braxton glanced up at her, tilting his head sideways a little confused. "Huh? Is something wrong Alice, and oh when did Kaoru get here. W-Wait Kaoru?!" His eyes opened wide, and his heart sank. "W-When did he get here?!" He was trying to remain calm for the most part, although, he did not want him to find out that he was no longer human.
