Chapter 6:
The sun is setting, letting off an orange glow. Its beautiful all around. The wind blows through my hair, carrying the salty scent of the sea. The water is calm, the waves wash over my feet. I settle down on the sand and admire the beauty. There's no one around, and its strange to find the beach unpopulated at this time of the day.
I revel in the peaceful surroundings and my thoughts drift to the dream I had. I'd spent all day trying to recollect the dream, but in vain. All I could remember of it was that I'd seen a face, tear streaked and in pain. I wanted to reach out and wipe those tears away. It was as if I could feel the sorrow myself. I lift my arms and take a step ahead. But I can't move. I try walking a few more steps, only to find myself standing at the same position. I start to panic, my throat is parched. Water! Yes I need water!
And I sat up. Bad idea. Because as soon as I did, a throbbing pain shot through my head, and I fell back on the cold, hard floor. Regaining my senses, I moved my hands to feel around. How did I land up on the floor? There was a faint light coming in through the window. It was early morning. I turned my head to find my alarm clock. It was 5 in the morning. But I was wide awake. So I decided to head downstairs.

"Hey Ree, wassup?" I hopped into the passenger seat of Rina's car.
"All good! Wassup with you? You look kinda pale." She asked with a worried look on her face.
"Oh I'm a vampire. Didn't I tell you?" I laughed. "Nope. You forgot to mention that." she winked.
Minutes later I found myself in the same boring History class. Mrs. Anderson was babbling something about the Pyramids, but I couldn't focus. I tried to recollect the dream, but all I remembered was that I'd seen a face. A young, handsome boy, about the same age as me. But who was he? Those eyes looked familiar.

"Arrgghh. Stupid bell." I yelled. I was close to recognising those eyes, but the bell rang, signalling the end of class, and the end of my concentration. So I gathered all my stuff and headed to the grounds for our PE class.
I stood next to Ree, dressed in my tracksuit, and braced myself for an embarrassing hour. Lets just say my only weakness was every single sport. So as soon as the coach blew his whistle at the end off the class, I ran to the changing room.
"You were great on the field today partner" I heard a voice behind me. My heartbeat quickened as I realised whose voice it was. I turned around to face him with an intention of giving him a piece of my mind, but he was too close. In that moment I realised I'd never seen anyone as handsome as him. He had beautiful dark hair that fell perfectly on his forehead. He had soft brown eyes, which to my disappointment, did not betray any emotion.
"I know you love me, darling. Don't make it so evident." his remark snapped me out of my daze. "Love? You? Not in a million years." I scoffed, though somehow I didn't sound as miffed as I wanted to. "I'd think twice before saying that if I were you. We're partners after all." he said. "Doesn't make me hate you any less, partner" I said as I walked past him to my next class.
