chapter four

"I don't know, Niall. What if Liam doesn't want kids?" Zayn asked his best friend, pushing the trolley to the second aisle.

"It's Liam, Zee, hasn't he always been bugging you about kids?" Niall questioned, making Zayn sigh.

"That was seven years ago, we're twenty-nine and he's always gone for his business trips. He's always busy, anyways. I just want someone to take care of when Liam is gone," Zayn replied, picking out the cereal of the week, or two cereals.

"Knowing Liam, and I've known him as long as you have, he'll want kids. He said it himself, at the age of nineteen, he always wanted a family with you," Niall reminded Zayn.

"Again, nineteen was ten years ago. He stopped saying that after he graduated university."

"He was focused on finding a job, Zayn. He has one, and he is one of the most successful person wherever he works, just bring it up during dinner, or sex."

"I'm not going to bribe my husband with sex," Zayn said, defensively.

"Worth a try, Zee. If you want a kid, tell him," Niall told Zayn, who sighed and continued to walk. "He has no reason not to have a family with you, Zayn."

"Then why hasn't he?" Zayn snapped. "Would you and Ally want to come over for dinner tonight?" Zayn changed the conversation.

"I can ask her, but I can," Niall replied, as they went towards the registers.

"That's okay, if she can't. Guys night, y'know." Zayn said.

Niall frowned, letting Zayn walk in front of him with the trolley. "Hey, when does Li come back?"

"Couple days. Maybe we could have a double date when he comes back. I'm sure he'll love it. We haven't hung out all together for awhile." Zayn smiled, then it turned upside down, hoping Niall doesn't remember who he was talking about. "I mean, he hasn't met Ally yet. - we should do that."
