Alternative Ending

This is a continuation of Chapter twenty one. It is an alternative ending with Ziam. the first part is a snippet from chapter twenty one so you can see where they were at then.

Liam wasn't sure if he regretting being with Louis or not. Liam was finally getting a child, it might not be with his husband, but he's sure Zayn would love her as if she's his own. Their daughter will have three fathers to love her.

Zayn walked into Liam's office. "You okay, Lee?"

"I'm so sorry for what I put you through, Zayn. You're amazing, and I don't deserve you. I don't know why you even took me back after what I did-"

"Liam," Zayn started, stepping towards Liam.

"No. Please don't try to make me feel better. I'm not a good person. I cheated on you, and someone is pregnant with my kid because I. . . I'm. . . I'm so sorry," Liam sobbed. He dropped to his knees, crying, and repeating, "I don't deserve you," and, "I'm sorry."

Zayn knelt down, and pulled his husband towards him. Liam's head was on  Zayn's chest, and Zayn's hands were in Liam's hair, trying to soothe his husband.

"Everything is okay, you're an amazing person, husband, and going to be an amazing father. I love you, and nothing will change that. You'll always have me, Liam," Zayn whispered, slowly rocking back and forth, and after Liam's sobs became quiet.

And Zayn meant it.

"Louis, can we talk?" Liam asked when he and Louis walked out of the OB-GYN office. 

"What about?" Louis asked, curiously.

"I've been thinking. A lot. Every day thinking. That you can get full custody of her, and I'll pay child support so you and her can be well off," Liam started. "Just please think about it."

"If that's what you really want. I can't stop you from doing it," Louis replied. "But, I don't want her to grow up without one of her parents. Eventually, I'm going to have to be the bad guy and tell her about her other father that sends us money and gave up his custody to see her."

"Louis, please understand why I want to do this."

"It's about your husband. Liam, please understand why I want to have half custody or give you full custody. I don't want full custody. I can't raise a child by myself, almost three years ago I was a child!"

"Louis, I hate to say this, but I want her to be with a father who doesn't cheat on his husband. I want her to be with a father who knows how to be married and in love with one person. Louis, do this for her. It's all about her from now on. There's not an us, and there will never be an us ever again."

"You're serious?" Louis questioned.

"I've never been this serious, Louis. You will be a great father, and she's going to love you with all of her heart. Make me the bad guy in her life so she doesn't feel like you are. It's my choice, it's our choice, but it's all for her. To set a good example for her," Liam responded. 

"What if I say no."

"You won't say no. Louis, it's all for her, just think about it, okay?"

"Marriage counseling?" Liam asked Zayn. Zayn had handed him a brochure for a retreat for troubled marriages. 

"I'm not saying we need it, but we need it. Liam, I love you with all my heart, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. It's only for a week-"

"Okay, we'll go. It's important to you, so it's important to me. I want to be the best person for you, Zayn. When is it?"

"Next week."

two years later

Liam wrote Louis's name on an envelope giving it to the mailman in his office. It was for child support, he'd always add a little more money than he'd legally have to give to Louis, so they could be comfortable.

The last time he had seen Louis was after he had given birth, and Liam had met his daughter for fifteen minutes. He'd found out that Louis was moving away from London. He'd decided that he wanted to raise his daughter in Milan, Italy. Somewhere he'd always wanted to live. Louis eventually agreed to have full custody, but Liam had visitation rights. It was a happy medium between the two of them.

"Let's tell Daddy that we're ready," Zayn walked into Liam's office holding a toddler. Liam smiled at his husband, and their adopted son.

"Ready, daddy!" the three year old smiled. 

"Are you guys, ready?" Liam joked, standing up and getting his jacket from his chair.

After they came back from the marriage retreat, they were stronger and closer than ever. There was fights and tears during the week but they always met with a therapist to get past their issues and Liam's infidelity. They renewed their vows a year ago before adopting their son. 

Zayn won't ever forget about the affair, but their love was stronger than it ever was.

Someone asked for an alternative ending with Ziam. so here it is. it was quickly written because I am not writing any more stories anymore since i simply lost interest. 

as for the character answers and questions, I'm going to keep it open for awhile longer so people can keep asking questions. but i want to officially end this story as soon as possible. 

I tried to make it realistic bc Ziam wouldnt have stayed together without any help, hence the marriage retreat/counseling.
