I looked at the clock in above my messaging unit for Zed. It was almost two in the morning; I opened the menu and pressed the logout button. Nothing happened, I pressed it again. I pressed it one more time, I was stuck?

“SHIT!” I screamed, “I’M STUCK?”

I ran to my ‘house’ in the game, I sat on the bed. I began to cry, the tears rolled down fast. ‘Why me?’ I thought to myself.  I felt my heart beating fast. If I couldn’t get my heart rate down, I was going to have a panic attack. I shut my eyes tightly so I would stop cry, then I breathed in deeply through my nose, and breathed out through my mouth. I got up and entered my small one person kitchen and grabbed a glass out of the cabinet. I turned the faucet on and the water came out in the glass. I took large gulps until I had calmed myself down.

I breathed in deeply again and private whispered Liam, “I’m stuck in the game, I can’t log out… What do I do?”

“Did you try pressing the log out button?” Liam P.W. me back.

“Yea, I pressed it several times, but I can’t log out, which means I’m stuck here forever!”

“Where are you?”

“I’m at my house, my ‘Real Life’ house.”

“I’ll be there in a few then.”

I waited for an hour until Liam showed up. He looked at my character, and there wasn’t anything noticeably wrong with him.

“Did you turn the head set off before you got on again, did you charge it?”

“No.” I said, my eyes started watering again.

“It’ll be alright; I could go to your house and plug it into the wall charger if you wanted me too.”

“No.” I stopped crying, “My brother will notice my absence when he gets home.”

“I didn’t know you had a brother.” Liam exclaimed, “What’s his name?”

“Alec… Big Brother Alec”

“Alec?” Liam asked.

“Yea, in the real world-” I was cut off when Liam disappeared, he logged off.

I breathed in one more time; this wasn’t a time for being a big girly baby. I was a man after all, in the game at least. I walked to my bed room and opened my closet. ‘I could live here’ I thought to myself. ‘I’ve got all I need right here.’ I changed into my armor and grabbed my biggest sword, ‘Hehe, if I get hard no one will notice’. I laughed to the thought, although, getting my first hard-on was a little weird, I never even got to do anything about it, it just went ‘Kaput’, and it was just another body part again.

I stepped out of my house and locked the door leaving the key attached to a belt loop on my pants underneath my armor. I smiled widely and walked to Celtradon City. There were wizards, warriors, knights, night walkers, wolf men, mermaids, mermen, feline people, centaurs, etc…

“OHMIGAWD! ZED, HELP ME!” I heard a female scream from the bar.

I entered the bar to see a girl getting pushed up against the bar, one of the waitress, “Gimme a refund woman!” The big bulky hairy guy demanded.

“I can’t…” she replied worried that she was going to get hurt.

“GIMME MY MONEY, THE ALCOHAL WAS TERRIBLE!” he screamed at the waitress.

“Sir, I’d like you to step away from her. Please?” I asked putting my hand on the guys shoulder.

“Get away dipshit; it’s none of your business!”

“Sir?” I asked, “Do you really feel like dying today?”

“What did you say?” He threw the lady to the opposite side of the bar, managing to knock her unconscious.

“I said…” breathing in deeply and speaking louder, gripping my sword that was on my back, “Do you feel like dying today?”

“Why don’t you just go eat-” the man was cut off from my blade beheading him swiftly.

“Scum.” I stated.

“Oh thank you Zed!” the waitress shouted, surprisingly awake from her hard fall.

“You’re welcome,” I said as she hugged me burying her face into my chest, “eh?”

I pushed her off gently as I walked out of the pub and walked into the ‘Job’ Store. “I would like to get a new job as a freelance, so I don’t have to be asked for help so much.” I told the man at the register who was an CGC, a Computer Generated Character.

“Yessir,” The guy said, “Would you like any new clothing with your new job then, also it’ll cost thirty G to change your job to a freelancer.” He added.

“Alright,” I said counting out the coins then putting them in the CGC’s hand, “I would like some new armor, and a never-filling-bag as well.” I said handing the extra coins that it’ll cost for the clothing and bag.

“Here you are sir.” The CGC said as he put away the coins and handed me the things I asked him for.

“Thank you my man!” I laughed grabbing my new Armor and placing it in the small bag that has no limit of stuff, and never gets any heavier than four pounds.
