I locked myself in my room, ate my dinner quickly and went back to my game. I placed the holographic head set over my eyes and laid down in my bed. And once again I was me, I was Zed.
“Zed?!” I heard a male voice call my name.
I turned around to see Edwin running away from a pack of girls. “Eddie?” I laughed.
“Run! THEY’RE LOOKING FOR YOU!!” He said screaming as he was trampled by the group of fan girls.
Therefore, I ran towards them, picking Edwin up and running away successfully. “JESUS CHRIST! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? TRYIN’ TO GET ME KILLED????” I screamed at Edwin.
“Don’t get mad at me, I can’t control where you are when I’m running.” He pouted.
“Shouldn’t you at least thank me for saving you life?” I asked as I felt the small pulse in my forehead pound slight harder after each word.
“No, I saved your ass from getting mauled from a bunch of girls!” He said raising his voice.
“More like the other way around you moron…” I said turning my head up and acting prissy.
“Eff you man, eff you.” He replied snickering.
I looked at him with a hard glared and asked, “Where’s Liam?”
“He said he’d be on after dinner.” He stopped laughing.
“Okay… I have a plan so the girls won’t be after any of us.” I sighed and took a deep breath, “Because we look so much lie our real selves, so we’re good looking, why don’t we all just put on a mask when we leave any areas where we are with each other.”
“That’s a great idea!” he said jumping up.
“I’ll go to the closest store and grab three masks then. Meet me at the hide out, hide out C4” I said crouching, and then standing.
“Roger that captain leader!” Edwin replied out of sarcasm.
“I am the leader…” I giggled.
“Whatever…” He said jumping off the stage we were on in the planetarium.
“Later Edwin,” I whispered jumping off after him.
Edwin ran to our hide out as I ran for the masquerade store. Fifteen minutes later, after running straight to the store. I bought three awesome masks. One resembled a kingly figure, the second resembled a knight, and the last one was a joker’s mask. I laughed at the resemblance and irony of my pick. I placed the kingly looking one on my head before I walked out slowly, to make sure no one recognized me. Nope, not a single soul, I laughed to myself quietly.
I walked slowly to the hide out area and tossed the joker mask into the home. I heard Edwin laugh and say “I knew it.”
He came out with mask on, his eyes smiling wide. We high-fived each other and turned around. “Hey Zed?” Edwin asked.
“Yea?” I replied raising an unnoticed eyebrow.
“What time is it, I have a curfew on the game now…” Edwin sighed.
“It’s eight thirty pm.” I replied.
