Everyone was busy with his or her conversations so I decided to listen to music. It was about five minutes before I noticed that Richard was there, across the room beside the water fountain. He waved and started over. I just stared. Ok now I guess is the time for people to find out that is crazy. He came over, stood beside Marcos, and smiled at everyone.
'Can I help you?' Marcos asked standing up to look intimidating
'Are you not going to introduce me to everyone Lisa?' Richard smiled
'Marcos, everyone this is Richard, Richard everyone' I smiled
'Hi everyone' waved Richard
'What you doing here?' I asked
'To prove you wrong that you ain't going crazy and to let you know that there is a leak' he said pointing to his eye
'Huh?' I said feeling under my eye 'oh eh thanks'
'I will need to talk to you before the end of the school day, if that is possible?' he asked
'Hum yeah what about 6th period?' I replied
'Great I will see you then I gotta go before well you know' he smiled
'Yeah ok see ya' I smiled as I watched him walk off
'Now you will have to spill' said Belinda
'What we are friends we have been for a little while and that's it' I replied feeling my face go red
'Yeah sure, if I looked at my friends like that my boyfriend would get jealous' said Sophie joining the group
'Hey, Soph how's you? You look shattered' I stated
'Yeah well it's the disadvantage of living with new born triplets' she smiled 'thankfully am going to stay with some relatives for the rest of the school year'
'Party?' Asked Belinda
'Party' replied Sophie
'Party!' stated Marcos
'Who was that walking off anyway?' asked Sophie
'Richard' chimed everyone
'Ooh your new boyfriend, what happened to Roy Smart?' asked Sophie
'Time to get to class' I said just as the bell rings
'Saved by the bell' chimed everyone
'I will walk you to class if you want am up that way?' asked Marcos
'If you want' I replied
'Good because I need to talk to you' he looked concerned
'Oh what about?' I asked as my heart skipped a beat
'I will tell you when we are alone' he replied
'Oh god he knows, he knows how I feel for him. Or is it the other thing oh god please not the other thing' I thought to myself. We sat there for a couple of minutes before standing up to give it some time before the corridors become deserted. As we stood up, he started speaking. My heart skipped a beat then sank. I started to feel sick
'How long have you known Richard?' he said looking straight a head
'Not as long as I have known you' I replied
'Do you trust him?' he asked
'Why?' I asked
'Please just answer me I need to know something then I will tell you why' he replied, stopping me in the middle of the corridor and looked straight in to my eyes
'I trust you more and you better you are acting weird M and it's not the good weird' I said looking past him as I lied
'I am getting a weird feeling off of him and the way he looks at you I have seen that look before and it ended in disaster I just don't want you to get hurt so please be careful' he said with tears in his eyes
'I am not Joanna-Rose, and you know I don't let anyone in that's not from back home and I can look after myself' I said
'Excuse me for caring about my best friend' he raised his voice
'you keep thinking am going to let someone in when you know fine no one can get in not even you, and yeah am sorry if someone who I hardly know and that they hardly know me seems to see more that those closes to me or most of the people around me' I shouted
'Don't raise your voice to me I am just trying to look after you I can't help the way I feel' he shouted back
'Oh screw you' I screamed as I stormed off
As I turned the corner, I noticed that people were staring at me. I turned and ran down the stairs I was so close to tears. How could I do that to Marcos he was and is my best friend and I just through everything in his face and I said her name. That hurt me as well as him we promised that we would never talk about it after two years, and I just did. I am such an idiot.
