As I took off my backpack and sat down in a graffiti covered desk I had to stifle my natural instincts to flee. Seriously, couldn't my mother ever get a job that let me live in the same place for more than a year? The whole new kid thing was starting to get old. I hate going through the chore of trying to fit in at each new school. Every school is different and has it's own "do's and don'ts" and every time I've moved I manage to break at least one. Sadly, that one somehow always seems to make me an instant social outcast.

The past couple schools I've kind of given up on trying to make friends because it's just way too hard to put myself out there. Even if I somehow magically do make a couple good ones it just makes it that much harder to leave. But I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles when you've got a movie star for a mother who is constantly doing shoots on location.

My name is Aurora Landon. Yes, it's a little bit cheesy and yes I hate it. My movie star mom picked my name, not me, remember? Anyhow, this is the story of my life. I know it starts off a little bit sad, but I'll promise you that it is all uphill from here. I'd like to say that this is an inspiring tale about courage, friendship, loyalty, and bravery, but I don't think it is. I guess in a way it can be, but that's all up to you. Take it or leave it, this is my story.
