Leo Valdez Love Story (New Camper)

Chapter 1

Astrid's POV

I walk down the hall at school next to my 2 best friends laughing like dying seals.

"No but seriously! All that spray tan she had on made her look like a freaking orange." Charlotte said.

"No! She looked way more orange then that!" Maya says laughing.

"Ok guys lets just say that she was really orange." I say breaking the two apart as I let out a giggle. "What do you guys have now?"

"We all have History right?" Charlotte replies.

"Oh yeah. The one class we have together! Finally!" Shouts Maya. Let's just say she's the crazy one. Charlotte's the artistic one and I'm the....I don't know what I am. They always tell me that I'm a complete book nerd. Which I really don't mind one bit.

We entered the classroom and sat down on the seats near the middle. The teacher entered the classroom and called out attendance.

"Ok class today we are going to learn about..." She cut off by a knock on the door. Oh god this better not be the principle again. She always interrupts our class trying to get some of us to do a speech at a local fundraiser or whatever. She always pesters me. But the principle wasn't at the door. Instead there was a boy and a girl. The boy had black messy hair and the girl had curly blond hair. They looked about a year older them me. Maybe 17 and they weren't in school uniform which means they don't go to our school. A look of surprise crosses the teachers face and the kids look downright serious.

They whisper for a while and I go back to doodling in my notebook. Maya nudges me and I look up. Our teacher walks over to our desk and takes my hand quite roughly.

"Astrid you need to come with me." What the hell is going on. Every single person in the classroom looks my way. My friends give me a questioning look and I give them a I-don't-know-whats-happening look before starting to put all my books in my bag.

"No no don't worry about your bag. Hurry up." She pushes the bag out of my hands and everything scatters on the table. Bitch! She starts to pull me away and I quickly grab the book I'm currently reading. She pulls me to the door and I stand in front of the boy and girl who have sympathetic looks on their faces. Ok now this is really getting weird. 

I look back at my friends and they both look quite worried.

"I'll inform the parents." The teacher whispers to the boy and girl.

"Thank you." The girl says. "Come on lets go." The teacher pushes me out of the classroom and closes the door. The girl and boy start walking. I stand there. Everything is so confusing. I'm not just going wit them. They don't even got to this school. And what the hell did the teacher mean when she said I will inform the parents. Something is really wrong. 

The girl stops and turns around seeing that I haven't moved she walks back to me.

"What the hell is going on!" I basically shout. I'm not going with them anywhere. First I don't know them and second it's the middle of the day and I'm meant to be in class.

"If you don't come your life is in danger."

"Don't give me all that crap. I'm not leaving with two people I don't even know." I turn around and open the door to the classroom quite loudly and storm back to my seat. Sitting down my friends turn towards me. The whole class is quiet and staring at me.

"What's happening?" Charlotte asks.

"I don't know. they boy and girl said that if I don't go with them I'm gonna die or something." I say giving the a cross between an angry and a weird face. 

Suddenly from the front of the classroom the boy walks through the door and down to me. 

"You have to come. Come on." He says.

"When will I be back."

"You can't come back now come on." he says in an urgent whisper. But I don't move an inch. I clutch my book to my chest and stare at him. Almost like a challenge."Ok I'm sorry i have to do this." And then he picks me up and swings me over his shoulder.

"WHAT THE FUCK! PUT ME DOWN!" I yell. My friends stare in horror as he walks out of the class room. The teacher does nothing she just stands there watching. No expression on her face. We walk out the front of the school and the girl is standing there.

"She wouldn't come. I had to do this." He says to her.

"PUT ME DOWN YOU SHITHEAD!" I scream again trying to get someone's attention. Next thing I know someone is carrying both me and the boy and we are in the air. Oh shit. Next thing I know we have landed on a thing the resembles a ship. Nope it is a ship. The boy still has me over his shoulder and finally he swings me off.

"You got the new demigod I see Percy." Another boy with blond hair says to the boy who had me over his shoulder who must be Percy. Standing in front of me are 7 people. All staring at me. Ok now I'm freaking out. I move slowly towards the end off this random ship and look towards the ground.

Oh god.

The ground is a good 300 meters away. How the hell am I going to get off.
