Chapter 8

{QUICK NOTE} OMG!I know I haven't written in FOREVER! The story will always be in Charlie's POV. And I might write another story. That's it. BYE! (◕ヮ◕)

              DATE NIGHT!!! I twirled in my new dress. It's a short, purple one with a huge bow around the waist. "How do I look?" I asked Jim. We were going to the movies tonight. "Great!" he replied. We hopped into Claire's SUV.

             I handed the clerk $5 for our tickets. Time really flew by as we watched the new Star Wars movie. I reached in the empty popcorn bucket and was surprised to grab Jim's hand. Claire was back just as the movie ended. "How was it?" she asked. "We had a blast." I said, looking at a smiling Jim. "Thanks for the ride, Claire." he said. "Any time."

~THE NEXT DAY

           My phone buzzed. It was a message from Amber & Pearl. Can you come over? We need you. :)  I got up slowly and checked the time. 8:02. I dragged myself to the bathroom and got ready. Then I crossed the hall to get dressed. I pulled a sweater over my head and khakis on my legs. Very quietly, I sneaked out of the house and rode my bike to their house. "What?" I asked when I got to their door. "Come in." Pearl smiled. I sat on their leather couch. "So some weird girl came here yesterday and asked if you were here, and we said no, then she told us she was Brittany and to----"  "Oh god, HER?" I interrupted. "Um, yeah. What's up with her?" Pearl asked. "Yeah, do you know her?" Amber said. "Well, yes, she's an old enemy. I HATE her." I replied. "Oh, ok." they said at the same time.

        I left at about 8:45, hoping no one was awake. When I got there, I saw a dark figure. I slowly opened the door. It was just Johnny. "Hey." He said. "Oh, thank god its you!" I answered. "What?"    "I snuck out to Amber and Pearl's house. Please don't tell Mitch!"    "It's good."

      Mitch finally woke up at 9:23. He grabbed his mug from the top shelf in the kitchen and filled it with coffee. "Good morning, sleepyhead!" I greeted him. He replied with a grunt and took a sip of coffee from his mug. "Someone's grumpy." I mumbled.
