Owen's POV

It has been almost two weeks with my date with Claire. She has avoided me as much as possible. Today was one of the today she couldn't avoid me whatsoever, today I had a meeting with her and Mr.Masrani.

I walked into my messy bedroom, and looked through the clothes that were scattered. I picked up a suit. I did want to dress nice for meetings.

I then walked into my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and scruffed up my hair. I had taken a quick shower this morning.

Claire's POV

Crap. I had the dreaded meeting with Owen today. I had marked my calendar as "Misery Day". Today I was wearing a tight black dress, with dark red lipstick, and my hair is pulled into a low messy bun. It's short, but still long enough to do that.

I walked into the office on my black heels. Lowery was making googly eyes at Vivian, while she was on her computer. I rolled my eyes.

"Claire Dearing, don't you look nice!"

"Good morning, Mr.Masrani," I put on a fake smile.

"Owen Grady is already in my office. I'll be there in ten minutes, I just need to make a quick phone call," he smiled, while my fake smiled turned into disgust. A whole ten minutes of talking to Owen Grady.

"Okay," I winced. I made my way to the office and slowly, extremely slowly opened the door. Owen looked up at me with his sparkling blue eyes. I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. He was wearing a formal suit. Wow. I shook my head out of my thoughts. Owen smirked.

"What?" I said, slipping into the office.

"Nothing. You just got lost in my eyes," he chuckled.

"What! No, no, no. I most certainly did not!" I said, sitting down and stomping my foot. This resulted in pain, since I'm wearing heels, this also caused my to pout. Owen laughed again. "Why are you laughing now?" I asked, annoyed.

"Nothing. But you still got lost in my eyes, Claire. There's no denying it," he laughed again.

"I. Did. Not!!" I defended myself, whacking him in the arm.

"That didn't hurt," he laughed again. I sighed and whacked him ago and before I knew it, he was lightly doing one of those girly cat fights with me.

We both laughed. I genuinely laughed.

"You hit like a girl," Owen chuckled.

"I am a girl!" I smiled. Owen didn't say anything, he just stared at me. "What now, Owen?" I rolled my eyes.

"Your smile," he laughed slightly.

"What's wrong with it?" I asked innocently.

"Nothing is wrong with it, Claire. I just- you have a nice smile. You should smile more."

I blushed. Hard. I didn't even like Owen, why should I be blushing?!

Owen spoke again,

"Smile. C'mon I know who have one more left in you," he laughed. I arched an eyebrow.

"What makes you so sure?"

Then he started tickling me. I laughed, not a fake laugh, nor a giggle. I truly laughed. We were, once again, centimeters apart- close to kissing. But then the door handle turned. I pushed Owen away quickly. In walked Mr.Masrani. I fixed my hair and stood up.

"Mr.Masrani," I smiled. Owen was standing too know and we all shook Simon's hand. But seriously-

Damn you Simon Masrani for ruining my chance to kiss Owen...
