About five minutes later, I was pulling into my driveway and decided against parking in the garage, since I was leaving soon anyways. Since my parents were out on a business trip this whole week, I had the whole house to myself. I walked in the front door and went straight upstairs to my room. When I got to the door of my room, I tried pushing it open and it wouldn't budge. Like the knob was turning but the door wouldn't open. What the heck? I turned the knob again and pushed the door harder, I repeated doing this for what seemed like 30 times. Finally with one last good shove, the door opened and I'm completely blown away by the mess that is my room. There were clothes literally everywhere, homework papers covering my bed, and old softball pants thrown almost everywhere. I guess I may have forgotten about the mess I made in here before I left for school this morning. Should I clean it before I leave or should I just wait until the weekend? Obviously it was an easy choice...... leave it for the weekend! I laughed to myself as I made my way to the bathroom, because I knew I probably wasn't going to clean it on the weekend either.
I tossed my nasty softball clothes into the hamper, and then I hopped into the shower. I could feel the smell coming off of me as I washed my hair and body. I needed to take a quick shower because I didn't want to be too late to the party, just "fashionably" late. I quickly shut off the water, pushed back the shower curtain, and then wrapped a fuzzy towel around me. I practically ran back into my room to pick out my outfit, almost falling over the clutter in the process. I decided against a dress because it wasn't supposed to be one of those kinds of parties, with a bunch of alcohol. I looked through my closet three times, before I chose leggings, a blue and white ombre cropped top, and white converse. Once I had my clothes on I ran back to the bathroom and started my hair. I blow dried it and then did some slight waves to the ends, just to give it some volume. Then, for my makeup, I decided on a simple look of foundation, concealer, setting powder, filling in my eyebrows, simple winged eyeliner, and then some mascara. It was the best I could do in the amount of time I had. I looked at myself once again in the mirror before racing down the stairs, I surprisingly looked really cute. I grabbed my keys off of the table and headed out the door for this party, let's hope tonight doesn't suck.
-------
Madison's house was definitely packed, I could barely find a place to park on the busy street. I finally found a spot about five houses down, great.... I started walking towards her house and I could hear the loud music from three houses down, did this girl not have neighbors around? When I walked up the stairs, there were already kids passed out from drinking too much. The front door was already open, so I just walked inside, and I could easily understand why so many kids were already passed out. There was alcohol everywhere bottles full of it, cups half drank, and full shots were being taken everywhere.
"QUINN!" I heard somebody screamed, but I instantly knew it was Amber. I turned around and she was already pushing people out of the way to get to me, almost falling over each time someone shoved her back.
"Hey Amb, did I miss anything good?" I said, kinda hoping I didn't.
"No, just your typical drunk teenagers doing dumb things." She said while giggling.
"How much have you had to drink tonight?" I said while laughing because she almost fell over, while we walked into the kitchen. I needed a soda, Mtn Dew to be exact. I don't like to drink too much, and since I have to be the designated driver, I'm not drinking at all tonight. I don't know how Amber got here but I'm most likely going to be taking her and any other drunk people, who needs rides, home too.
"I think maybe a shot of vodka, and a few beers, I don't really know nor do I care." She said while bursting into a fit of giggles again. "Oouu look it's Max, dancing with yet another girl! Hey those are my friends over there!!" She yelled all at once and caught the attention of a bunch of people.
"Ok Amb, well I'm gonna go outside and just hang out I guess. Please do not leave this party without me , ok?" I said while staring at her intently.
"Ok, mom!" She yelled to me as she walked away laughing, yet again.
I walked towards the sliding glass door that led outside and sat down on one of the benches. As soon as I got outside I got a text from my dad, asking me what I was doing. Now, most people, would never tell their parents that they were at a party with lots of alcohol and probably drugs, but I did. My parents didn't really care what I did or where I was, as long as I wasn't driving home drunk or in a car with a bunch of drunk people. I had a lot of freedom and trust from my parents, and I didn't plan on ruining that anytime soon. I sent my dad a quick text, saying that I was at a crowded party and wasn't drinking. A lot of noise was coming from the pool area, so being the nosy person I am, I walked over there. There were a lot of people in the pool and I mean A LOT, including Max. I decided to supervise this mess because most likely everyone was drunk and most times, drunks and pools do not go well with each other. I started walking laps around the pool to make sure no one died, no seriously, these people were really that wasted. I had my head down and I looked up every once in a while, I was relying more on my hearing than sight. I didn't really see a point in creepily staring at them as I walked around the pool edge a thousand times. Every couple minutes I had to go get a ball because they kept "accidentally" throwing it out, which was so much fun, note the sarcasm.
------
Almost an hour later, everyone was back inside and the party was starting to end. By starting to end, I mean everyone is either passed out or getting ready to leave. If I saw anyone that was really drunk, like barely standing up, I told them that I would drive them home. I rounded up the group of eight that I was taking home, everyone would have to share a seat, and we headed out to my car. In total in my car, there is Christian, Liam, Noah, Mason, Amber, Julie, Emma, and Lauren. Everyone was sitting in the back because I didn't want anyone to distract me while I'm driving. Once everyone was safely in my car, I got in on the drivers side, and pulled out onto the street. After driving down the road for a little bit, I saw someone slowly and wobbly attempting to walk home. They looked pretty drunk and I guess they could sit in the front with me, It would make me feel better if I knew they got home safely. So, I decided to pull up next to them and I was met with the last person I'd expect to see alone tonight. As much as I wanted to just drive away, I knew my conscience would never let me, so I unlocked the passenger side door and rolled my window down....
"Get in the car, Max."
