"I need to make a phone call," Scott says, and I look at him like he is crazy. I ramble, "Is this the most opportune time to make a call? We need to find somewhere to lock me up, so I don't go hurting people or run around naked like Liam did. Why are you making a call right now of all times? I can't believe you are ignoring me right now." I know he is still going to make the call, so eavesdropping is going to be friend today. "What do you want, Scott," a manly voice says as they answer. My brother sighs, "I need your help with a beta." "Just a beta," the guy asks. Scott looks at me, "No, my sister. I need help with my sister." "What?! You bit your sister and need my help. What could you possibly need help about your sister," the guy rants, "I do believe that you don't need my help." "Please, I wouldn't call unless it was completely necessary," Scott says, "They did something to mess with her IED, Derek." This Derek guy sighs, "I'll be there in an hour." Scott thanks him, but Derek says, "Don't piss her off if you can help it." I laugh really hard, and Scott says, "I'll try."
A guy walks straight to me as I'm sitting on a bench, "You don't look like much." "Want to test that theory of yours," I growl. Scott runs up, "Steph, this is Derek." I look him up and down, "You don't look like much," mocking his words. Derek chuckles, "I like her. She is funny." "You won't like me long if you make me angry," I warn him. "And feisty. But you can't hurt me," he says causing me to laugh. Scott asks, "What's so funny?" "He underestimates me, but that is okay. Alot of people do like Liam," I say. Derek looks at me, "What do you mean like Liam?" Scott answers, "She lost control of her anger, and we tried to calm her down. That didn't work the way we wanted it to, so Liam and her got into a tussle, but she knocked him out causing her to snap her out of her angry haze." "You knocked out Liam? I highly doubt that. He is a very strong beta because of his anger," Derek says. Scott puts a hand on Derek's shoulder, "She is the true definition of angry, and I do believe she is stronger than Liam." "So, what do you need help with Scott," Derek asks eyeing me up and down curious as to how a five foot three teenager could be so angry. I answer, "A place to lock me up that I can't break out of." "That is too easy," he says.
"Get in the car," Derek says to me. I oblige and ask, "Where are we going?" "A very secret place," he says, and Scott asks, "The vault?" Derek shakes his head, "Too many breakable things, but something like it." I sigh, "Is it small?" "Are you claustrophobic, Stephanie," Derek asks. I nod and look out the window. He chuckles, "Well, it isn't small, so you don't have to worry."
We stop at an old, rickety house, and Derek leads Scott and me to the basement. "She can get out of this basement," Scott says. Derek chuckles as he uses his claws to open a door in the wall, "Really? Can she get out of this one?" I shake my head, "No because I won't try." "You say that now, but you haven't felt the real power of a full moon let alone a super moon," Derek says in all seriousness. I nod and admit, "You are right, but you know nothing about me." "True, but I do know your brother, and you are angrier than Liam, and I know alot about the full moon," he states, and I walk into the spacious room and wave. "See you in the morning, Bubba," I say as I pull the door shut.
It is dark in here, so I have to use my wolf eyes to find my way to a light. I look around to see shackles on the wall and floor, and there is a bed in the corner, "I see he has used this to lock people up before." I sit on the bed and think about seventh grade.
Allison Argent came to the house as I started to do my homework, and she sat next to me, "Hey. You must be Stephanie." I smiled at her, "Hi. You must be Allison. Scott talks about you alot." "Does he," she giggled, and I nod. She asked, "Does he say nice things?" "Yea, he really likes you," I said, and Scott ran into the kitchen, "Stephanie, what are you doing?" "Doing my homework and talking to Allison. What are you doing," I said making Allison laugh a little. She said, "Your sister is lovely, Scott. She helps her brother out more than most little sisters would." He blushed, "Helps me how?" "Me saying yes to going on a date with you, that is how," she said and continued to talk to me until Scott got ready for their sudden date. Scott kissed my forehead, "Love you, sis. I'll be home soon."
I sigh at the memory. "That was right before he started to push me away," I say to myself. Allison was so nice to me when she came over. Even when Scott wasn't home she would spend time with me as Scott and I drifted apart. When they broke up, she was still there. Stop thinking about Allison. I can't do this right now because I know how she really died. I'll take a nap and let sleep clear my head for a little while. I lay my head on the pillow, and my eyes flutter close.
I jolt awake and look around. I hear a howl from long distance. "Scott," I say. His howl echos as a siren to help. He needs help, and I can't. I growl, "I can't just sit here." I get angry as I think what could be happening. I roar and snap. I charge at the door, and the house shakes. I kick and punch and charge at the door until it starts the crumble. I growl, "I'm coming, Scott." I kick it as hard as I can, and it caves. I walk out of the house and howl to my brother. He doesn't howl back. I run as fast as I can to find him using his scent. I run into the library, and Mason and my mom are sitting by my brother. Mom is crying, "Scott, you are an alpha. You can not die like this." She hits chest hard, and Scott gasps for breath. "Steph, how did you get out of that room," he asks as he realizes I'm standing there. I growl still angry, "I heard you howl, so I beat the crap out of that door." "What are you talking about," mom questions. I tell my mom a half truth, "I locked myself in a concrete reinforced room." "And you broke out of that," Mason asks completely in awe. I nod getting irritated. "I need to find a new place to lock myself up," I growl as I feel myself start to snap. I look up to see the moon in the window, and I roar rumbling the foundation of the library. I look at Scott and turn to run, but Derek is standing there with a few of his friends. "Isaac? Ethan? Danny? Braeden? What are you guys doing here," Scott asks. Derek answer, "She broke a very heavy-duty concrete reinforced room. She is dangerous." I roar at them, "Get out of my way. I don't want to hurt you." "That's cute," the woman says and shoots me with a tranquilizer. I snap and charge at her, but she shot three more. I get slower, but I still make it close enough to make it past them. I run as fast as the tranq will allow me, but I feel two more in my back. I drop and growl. One of the guys says, "What kind of steroids are you on?" I growl, "I'm just an angry little thing." I get back on my feet and try to run, but the woman shot me four more times. I drop to my knee and grumble, "I guess it is starting to work." "That took ten extra strength tranquilizer darts. How can someone be that angry," Derek says. I look at him, "You haven't even seen me actually angry. If I was, you would need for than ten of these darts. It wouldn't be pretty especially when the masked people messed with my IED." The other guy says, "This is the alpha's angry little sister (sorry this is corny)?" "I didn't know she was that strong," Derek says as I fade from reality and slump over.
