I grab my civilian clothes and change, and the orderlies keep staring at me as I walk out with Scott. He drives us to Derek's loft, and I ask, "Do we really have to come here?" "Yea, you need to grab your stuff to come back home," he says, but I say, "We could do that tomorrow." He gives me a look, amd I huff, "Fine." I walk quickly to get it over with. I grab all my stuff that was already packed from when I tried to run away. I turn, and he is standing there. "Isaac," I whisper. He tries to say something, but I just run with all my stuff. Tears run down my face, and I get into the car. "We need to go now," I say as Isaac walks out of the door. Scott glares at him and pulls off.
Scott pulls into our driveway and grabs my bag. Mom runs outside and hugs me, "Welcome home, honey." I pull away and smile through my tears, "Thanks, mom." "What's wrong, Steph," she asks. I shake my head, "Tired and brokenhearted." She frowns, and I walk past her. Stiles is sitting on the couch with Malia, and our dad is in the recliner. They turn to see me, "Welcome home, Stephanie!" I say, "Thanks." "Why are crying," dad asks. I wipe my face and lie, "Tears of joy." "Okay, sweetie," he says hugging. When he pulls away, Malia hugs me and whispers, "It's going to be okay." "Eventually," I whisper back. Stiles hugs me, "Love you, sis." "I love you too," I say as we pull away. I yawn, and dad says, "You must be tired, so we better go." I nod, and they say their byes. I go upstairs and plop on my bed, and sleep consumes me.
I open my eye to see his. "Isaac," I say and sit up, "What are you doing?" "I was laying here with you, but you were tossing and turning," he says. I yell, "You don't get to lay with me. You no longer comfort me." "Obviously, I haunt your dreams," he chuckles. I scream, "Get out of my head." "Make me," he gets in my face. I growl, "How can I possibly do that?" "Tell me to go away," he whispers caressing my cheek. I look him into those eyes that used to bring me joy but now give me pain, "Go away, Isaac. I don't want you here." He chuckles, "You really thought that would work? That is sad." "I am not going to be tortured by someone who only visits me in my dreams," I roar, "Get out of my head!" He fades, and I am able to breathe.
I open my eyes, and tears are rolling down my face. I wipe them away and change into a hoodie and leggings. Someone knocks on my door, so I yell, "Come in." Scott opens the door, "You know you don't have to yell?" I nod and continue to put my shoes. "What are they doing here," I ask hearing my pack downstairs. He answers, "You're still their alpha. They didn't choose to be omegas. They actually wanted to visit you in Eichen House." I take a deep breath and go downstairs, and Scott follows me. Hayden hugs me, "Thank you for letting Liam and I be together." "It is no problem," I say patting her back and pulling away, "Thank you for staying in the pack." I look at the chimeras, and Donovan asks, "How was Eichen House?" "You don't ask that," Scott says as I glare at him. He shakes his head and looks down, "I didn't know that. I've never been there." "That is a good thing. It is horrible in both wards," I storm out and knock someone down. I look down, and it is the one person I did not want to see. "Stephanie," Isaac says getting to his feet. I distance myself from him, "Bye." "Please," he says trying to grab my arm.
I run like my life depends on it, but it is really my sanity that depends on it right now. I look back, and he is chasing me, "Stephanie." "No," I run even faster, and he falls even further behind. He stops, but I keep running because I know he isn't going to stop there for long. "Stephanie," someone says as I run them over. We both grunt as we hit the ground hard. I sit up, "Sorry." Brett is laying next to me, "Damn, what are you running from?" "More like who," I say as I hear Isaac calling to me. I frown, "Bye, Brett. I can't talk right now," and start running again. "Stephanie, stop running," Isaac yells. I cry out, "Go away, Isaac." "Let me explain," he yells, and I yell, "I said no" "Babe," he says, and I stop. I turn and put arm out and clothesline him, "There is nothing to explain when I don't want to hear it, and don't call me babe." He stays laying on the ground, and I growl, "I smell another girl on you. I am not dealing with this." I start to walk away, and Brett is standing there, "I'm sorry." "You have nothing to apologize for. He does, but I don't want to listen," I say and walk home, and he tags along. He chuckles, "I think that was obvious from the beginning." "You think," I say giggling a little.
Brett walks with me as we stay silent. The only thing he said was that it would be a tragedy if I walked home alone, so I let him because I don't want to be alone. "Thank you," I say when we stop at my house. He smiles, "You're welcome," then walks away. I wonder to myself, "Why would he want to walk me home," but I brush it off and go inside. "How was your run," Donovan asks. I look at him, "You really are dumb." "I just asked how your run was," he whines, and I roll my eyes. "It was great, Donovan," I sigh, and he cheers up a little. He is obviously different from when I flipped. I ask, "Have you guys been here the entire time I was gone?" "Yea," Hayden says absently as her and Liam make googly eyes at each other. I'm not saying I'm not happy for them, but it reminds me of what I had with the guy I left in the woods, "You guys know you don't have to stay, right?" "Yes, we do," Corey answers, "We also know we don't have to stay in the pack." "I don't understand how you guys want to stay," I think out loud, "I can't even stay by my own side sometimes." As I turn away, Simon says, "You're the reason we are alive." I face them, "That doesn't mean you have to stay." "Stop trying to push us away," Hayden yells, "It is only going to hurt you in the long run because you'll be all alone." I nod, "Fine, I'll be the alpha you guys want. I'll care and love then lose like a normal person but far more than one person could imagine. I'll give you my life because I know that is what it takes." "That is what it means to be an alpha, sis," Scott says standing next to me, "But you won't do it alone." "You'll never be alone," Hayden says. I look at everyone, "I'm used to being alone." "That is going to change," Scott says. I grimace, "R-I-P to most of who I am. I guess I have to go with the new order." "That's not a bad thing," Simon says, "We had to be resurrected to start this chapter of our lives." "I know, and I'm finally taking responsibility," I say. Scott says, "We also need to work on blaming ourselves." "It's a tendency I have," I chuckle.
Stiles walks in looking at me, "Why do I have an Isaac saying you clothelined him in the woods?" "He didn't get the hint, and he called me babe," I say looking away from him and Scott, "He also had another scent on him, so it was deserved." "Maybe find you a new anchor while we are working on the blame game," Scott says. Stiles says, "Can I hurt him for it now?" "No," Scott says. I look between them, "What are you talking about?" "Nothing," they both say. I growl, "We also need to work on you guys withholding important information to protect me." "We're your older brothers. What do you expect," Stiles says. I roll my eyes, "Hayden, will you come with me to get information?" "Stephanie," Scott tries to threaten, "We don't want you to snap again." "I'm not going to. If you are that concerned, come with me," I say crossing my arms holding my ground. He huff, "Fine. Stiles and Liam, let's go." "Let's go, Hayden and Tracy," I say then remember, "Corey and Simon, no sex on the couch." They stop kissing and scoot away from each other, and Simon says, "Absolutely none." I shake my head, "And Donovan be careful with the magical mouths biting the furniture." "Yes, ma'am," he says, and I can finally continue to obtain what I need to know. "Where did he want me to go," I ask Stiles. He says, "Where you guys first met." "Can he not be so cheesy," I growl in frustration, "He wants me to meet him at the library." "You mean when you were broke out of the concrete reinforced room then were sedated by Braeden," Scott says. I sass, "Nooo, the other one." "I see you're still our sarcastic, little sister," Stiles says.
