Chapter 23

One month later
Katniss POV
I groan as I throw up once more. Its just a sickness right? I mean both me and Marisa are throwing up so I'm not the only one.

Anyways, I hope it goes because it's fucking annoying. I spit and flush the toilet. I brush my teeth.

Luckily Xavier's in a meeting. He gets so worried and honestly it's a bit annoying.

I go to Marisa's room and I hear her throwing up. Oh boy. I open her door and I hear her in the bathroom.

A few minutes later she comes out looking pale. I sigh and grab her hand. Dragging her downstairs, I go towards Tyler. Tyler got accepted into our pack once I told Xavier that he was her mate.

"Ty!" I yell.

He runs over to us and gives Marisa a quick kiss. She whines and leans against him.

"She threw up again." I say.

He hugs her and I go to the kitchen to grab Xavier's car keys. He's gonna be pissed but I'm Luna. I can go anywhere. I go to the garage and get into Xavier's red Lamborghini.

I drive on a rocky road, the only road that is t surrounded by trees and once in leaving the pack, I tell Frank, one of the pack guards, to tell Xavier that I'm leaving.

Instead of letting me leave, he holds me back. Damn it. He mind links Jase, his twin, to take his place and tells me he drives.

I sigh but let him drive. We get Ito town in a few minutes.

"Luna where do you want to go?" Frank asks.

"The mall." I reply.

We drive to the mall and I get out as fast as I can, trying to lose Frank. I go inside forever 21 and grab leather gloves, black skinny jeans, a tank top that has 'Døńt talk to me' in cursive letters and a pair of combat boots.

I pay at the register with Xavier's card. I walk outside and go to the food court. I order a salad and a coke.

Im halfway through my food when an angry voice interrupts my peace.

'Where the fuck are you?! Frank just told me you went missing!!"

I cringe at the EXTREMELY LOUD voice in my head and silently curse at him.

'Chill. Im at the mall and oh shit.' I curse as the disgusting smell of fish hits my nose.

'What baby??' Xavier's frantic voice calls.

I rush to the female bathrooms and throw up. Well, there goes my lunch.

I go pick up my stuff and throw out my salad. I keep the coke to keep the puke taste out of my mouth.

'Baby do me a favor.' Xavier orders.

Bipolar much? I think to myself as I agree.

'Go to the pharmacy and get two pregnancy kits.'

I stop short. What? No. I can't be pregnant. My breath comes out short and my phone starts to ring.

The id says Xavier and I quickly answer.

"Xavier I think I'm having a panic attack." I say as I rush outside and press my head against the brick wall.

"Deeps breaths baby, okay? Breathe. II'll send Frank." Xavier frantically says.

I struggle to keep my breath even and crouch down. No. Calm down. Calm down.

"Xavier. If I'm pregnant I'm gonna be a horrible mother." I sob.

"No you won't baby. You'll be the best mother." Xavier reassures me.

I sniffle as I try to stop the tears from rolling down my face. Just then, Frank appears.

He grabs my stuff and leaves.

"Baby, you okay?" Xavier asks.

"I don't know." I reply.

Frank comes back with my stuff gone and picks me up.

"You'll be here in a few minutes. Bye baby. Love you." Xavier says.

I hang up and make Frank put me down. We walk to the car in silence and go to the pack.

Xavier is waiting for me by the time we get back. I run out of the car before its fully stopped and run into his arms.

"Baby, we don't know yet. It's okay." Xavier murmurs in my ear as he picks me up bridal style

We go to our room and I kiss Xavier lightly. He growls and attacks my mouth. I keep my lips closed.

"Baby stop teasing." He whines.

I giggle and jump on the bed. Turning on the tv, I see my favorite movie. Well half favorite. Pocahontas.

"Oh my god Xavier, we missed Halloween!!" I shriek.

He shrugs. I gasp and punch his arm. He scowls and looks at me.

"Why did you do that??" Xavier asks frowning.

Suddenly, the door is open with Peter, pack doctor, in the doorway. In his hand, there is.....

A pregnancy kit. Peter tosses it to Xavier and leaves. I look at Xavier with wide eyes.

"Baby you never know. We didn't use a condom." Xavier says.

I bite my lip. You have to do it. You need to know.

Xavier groans and I look at him confused.

"Stop biting your lip." He says through gritted teeth.

I laugh and grab the kit, going inside the bathroom. I peed on the kit, which is probably the weirdest thing I've ever done, and walked outside.

After an agonizing five minutes, Xavier went to check on the test. I held my breath as he walked into the bathroom. I think I'm gonna pass out. I think I'm gonna faint. Or throw up.

"Baby?" Xavier's voice rings out.

"Hmm?" I ask, still holding my breath. Please, please, I'm so not ready. I beg you god, please no.

"We're having a baby!" Xavier yells excitedly and runs over to me, kissing all over my face. I give Xavier a weak smile and start breathing heavily. Why? Why? I can't be a mother.

Sure Xavier would be a great father. Me? No way.

"Oh my god." I say and pass out.
