I raise my hands as a defense when the hound jumps up to me. Ferocity covering its eyes. My eyes instinctively choose, as my foot stood planted, unable to move any further than an inch or two.
Would this be how I would end?
I could imagine it now, "girl mauled by wild animal".
My eyes remained closed awaiting the punishing attack to occur, however it never ready did. My left eye peaks open, setting the hound withering in pain, as blood stained the ground.
I spot the same heroic doggy I now knew as Avan. A relived smile wavers passed me. I sighed glad I was still alive. Fear however still punching me in the gut as the hound didn't stay in pain any longer.
It arose a growl rupturing from it's grueling form. It wasn't backing down. Avan howled, showing no signs of weakness as well.
A sharp noise causes me to flinch unintentionally. Avan amd the hounds form twitched, before whimpering. The hound runs away, leaving a curled up Avan behind. The sharp noise abruptly stops, an Avan stands again trudging to me in a daze.
A rustle from a nearby trees caused me to jump, and Avan to stand guarded. "Avan." A warning voice starts.
I recognized that voice. A certain brown haired boy casually walks to us a bronzed whistle hanging from his neck. Avan snaps his jaw at the boy angrily.
"You're the bathroom boy!" I concluded.
He chuckles before nodding, "I go by Calvin, though." He responds clicking his tongue against his mouth an annoying popping noise sounds.
Avan growls overwhelmingly, and barks at Calvin, before snarling. Calvin rolls his eyes dramatically, before tossing Avan thin basketball shorts which he supposedly had in his giant jean pocket.
It lands on Avan's head, and I see him visibly grit his teeth before turning around and going for a tree.
Calvin smiles at me, while tapping his foot at the forest grounds. "Delilah, right?"
What was it with the Costarelli family and forgetting my name?
I shoot him a smile back, "Um, it's actually Leah." I corrected.
He shrugs, "I'm not too big on names. You can call me 'the hot guy who pushed you away from the bathroom.'" He snickered at himself.
"You're not that hot."
Avan's dark voice said.
I shrink away, trying to get as far as possible away. "Addie." I mentioned. Nearly forgetting about my sister. Avan sighs, before nodding.
