Chapter 4:

Narrator's POV

11:45 am.

Changmin was still very upset with his father leaving him on his own terms. On the other hand, Sehun tried his best to lighten his heart before he left. SeYi did the same with Sehun. But no effect came to surface, unfortunately until it was time for him to leave. The taxi was parked outside of the house and the driver helped Sehun with his bags and suitcase. Sehun stood in front of the open door and Sehun stood in front of him, having Changmin hide behind her legs as he cried. Sehun kneeled down and tried to properly say his goodbyes to his son.

"You don't want to say goodbye to daddy?" He asked his sobbing son.

Changmin hid behind his mother and didn't say a word.

"Daddy will be really sad if you don't." He told Changmin.

"Why do you have to go?" Changmin quietly sniffled in his tears as he continued to hide.

"Because daddy has a problem that he started and needs to finish it."

"When are you coming back?"

"I don't know, bud. We'll have to see."

Changmin cried harder and covered his face as he wiped off all of his tears.

"You don't want to give daddy one last hug?" Sehun suggested.

The little one sniffle one last time before running into his dad's arms, hugging him as tight as he possibly could.

Sehun cherished his last embrace with Changmin until the taxi driver yelled out that he was done loading.

Sehun stood up ruffled Changmin's hair before glancing over to SeYi.

"Take care, both of you." He said to her with a forceful smile.

SeYi's eyes watered and Sehun painfully noticed. Within his mind, he had different thoughts than before, which he was trying to avoid all this time.

*This is Min SeYi.* Sehun's thought to himself, wishing that he didn't. *The woman I once loved so deeply and cherished whole-heartedly. I loved her. Why am I leaving her so easily?*

Sehun pulled her into a hug and she began to sob from there. Once he pulled away, SeYi wiped her tears.

"Stay healthy, alright? Be safe and never go out at night." Sehun reminded her.

SeYi tried to force a smile on her face and a tiny giggle left her mouth. "Why do you sound like you're leaving us forever?"

Sehun's heart sank to the bottom of his chest and he's felt the most guilt that he has ever felt before.

He is leaving them forever.

He isn't going to see them ever again after this.

Neither of them.

Forever.

He felt sorrow rush through his whole body, especially in his throat, where he forced tears from coming out. The thought of 'forever' terrified him. This is the last time he'll ever see their faces again. Those faces he used to smile with every day. Those people that he loved more than himself and anybody else in the world. He'll never be able to see them again.

Sehun combed through her usual long, silky black hair and forced on a grin. Then he eventually let go. "Because we never know what may happen."

SeYi shed her last tear before Sehun picked up his suitcase and glanced down at Changmin one last time. He light-heartedly waved at him and the little one did the same. He smiled and SeYi while she did the same. Sehun soon climbed into the cab and shut the door. As the car drove away, he watched his family grow smaller and smaller through distance until they just disappeared and that marked the end. The end of his last moments with his family.
