Chpt. 2 - But that could never be him. Ever.

*Luke pov*

For some reason, it felt strange and unusual to be in the room. Me and Calum received a bunch of stares as we went over to Mr. Herrera and handed him over the late excuse passes. 

Mr. Herrera stopped us. He told us to go up to the front of the class and introduce ourselves. We told everybody our names and where we came from. Australia. That sure got allot more attention. Hoots and Giggles from the crowd, was in return. We took our seats, awkwardly, the whole class eyeballing us.

Two pretty girls in particular have seen us, and gazed longer than the others. The girls whispered into each others ears and blushed. Whatever that was about, probably got around fairly quickly.

We both stared at them to as the whole class finished looking at us, they were two cute girls. I didn't know if it was already a bad thing that I'm already crushing on a girl on the first day. A Popular Girl. She'll never go for a guy like me. Probably she has a boyfriend. yeah, she seems like the type. But if I ever had a chance that she was single, I guess it would be pretty hard to get her.

The period ended and it went on and on until we've reached our lunch period with the others, Ashton and Michael. Eventually since we came in late to lunch, we didn't have any spots to sit at , so we escaped out into the back patio.

The same girls, from Pre- Calcius, sat at the back eating there fresh salads. looked strangely at us and exchanged looks at each other. They walked towards us, oh no.

* Calum pov *

We didn't even see this coming. The girls we saw a few periods ago, actually are walking to us. Aren't they the popular girls? This probably means danger.

"You're the new boys, am I correct?" The shorter girl said to me. She had brown hair, which I knew was died, seemed pretty obvious. But its really good on her. Almost like her scalp was black then slowly turning light brown to her ends. At least she was talking to me, right?

"Um... yeah. New kids.." Ashton said, his voice cracking.

"Calum, right?" The same one asked. I nodded weirdly, like I was cocking my head.

"I'm Karen. The word spread around that you guys know how to rock. Some pretty cool shit. What eves." she sassed.

"Karen, attitude." The other one said. The other one had kind eyes and practically nicer than Karen. Karen dozed off and skidded across the patio when a Blondie figure came , which was a tall boy, and she kissed his big lips. 

Slut.

No, you just met her.

"The name's Emily by the way. Sorry, about Karen. She's maybe on her period?" Emily explained. Me and the boys chuckled as we watched Karen make out with the Blondie. It ended when she grabbed his arm and dragged him back inside the building.

"So, we've heard you play in a band and all. Maybe you can play a gig at Karen's party?" Emily smiled. She looked really pretty but Luke had his eyes on her the whole time.

"Sure, we'd love to!" Michael said.

*Emily's pov*

 I was super glad that the new boys finally get to be heard. It felt good inside that I was actually doing something good inside, not something slutty or bitchy this time. 

I really wanted to impress this guy in front of me. What was his name, again.... Luke?

The bell rang, which was meaning or everyone to be dismissed.

The boys I talked to, started packing there stuff, and looked like they were about to head out. I catch ed Luke, luckily, and asked, "Luke, right?" I asked. 

He nodded.

"See you this Friday!" I squealed. Hopefully, he chuckled and smirked.

"See you two, Em." He muttered. He dropped his things and gave me a quick hug around my waist. I could smell his scent. Whoa too weird?

We pulled away and gave one last far-well. My thoughts took over me as he walked away.

He seemed pretty familiar. At least he isn't that boy from summer camp that I went with when I was 6 when me and him told all our secrets to each other. But to be truthfull, he sorta looks like him.

But that could never be him.
