*Calum's pov*
*3 weeks later*
WOW, does everybody have to be falling or drooling over someone?
Class periods have flew by and its lunch time.
Before I headed into the cafeteria, I took a quick stop at my locker and craned my neck over to Karen's locker. She wasn't back from her daily snog with Jonathan. The only reason why I pointed that out, was because usually we both come at the same time to our lockers. Well, ever since the past few weeks.
Luke has been telling me on and on that ever since the day after the party, Emily and Karen started getting distant from the populars .But Emily has been doing to that to Luke too. I've noticed also myself. The next Friday , him and I made our crossing towards the band cubicle and pulled me aside to get through the crowd that was coming down the hallway. We rushed as fast as we could, but shortly had to slow down since it was getting even more cramped. We almost crushed and pushed lots of heads since we were taller than fresh mans, and Luke turned back at me , seeing if I was behind him, which I was trying. He tilted his head back to the direction we were supposed to go and didn't apprehend the figure he just bumped into. Well, that figure was Emily. He knocked down her books across the floor, and hesitated on picking them up for her. I was alarmed and grasped for the nearest books that was about to be smashed on. Eventually, she took the books from me and Luke's hands and flee out like nothing every happened. We walked off awkwardly, and Luke looked back for one last look.
There was only one locker that spread us apart from each other. I peeked out sighting the halls and searched if she was ever going to come. The ghost seconds past, and as she turned around the corner to finish talking to her boyfriend, she strolled down the hallway to where I was.
Her footsteps became very heavy when she past by me. She popped open her locker in just seconds, and began put her books away. I focused back to placing my books away also and cleaned a little, making space to put my belongings.
"I remember , Calum. EVERYTHING about that party." She chattered as she stopped and looked over me.
"Don't worry . I won't tell anybody that you kissed a bust like me." I huffed out. She probably didn't want anything to do with me.
"Cal-"
"No, I get it. Let just set it aside." I snapped. I shut my locker with my slender fingers and started walking away.
Karen pulled my fingers and drawn my attention towards her when she tip toed and kissed me in the cheek.
Luckily, No one was here other than the birds chirping outside with the window propped open. She got me to face full body head to toe and she joined her other fingers to mine.
My heart accelerated a bit, and I tried to come down whatever was going right now, and focused on just her. My cheeks , felt rosy and peachy. And my cheekbones warmed up. It was a little strange, though.
"It's fine. But can WE, like you & me , talk alone after school?" She quietly whispered. She smiled at me and awaited for my answer. She seemed nice to me than usual. I thought she was going to take the hard way and punch me or something...
"Sure, or we can talk now, if you want?" I motioned out towards the patio.
"Cal, Jonathan and I have our little thing, you know."
"Oh, yes. Forgot about that. Just after school , then ?" I assured.
"Sure, whatever works." She nodded. She slipped into my arms like her 'Sassy Karen" switch has been turned off immediately. My palms reached for the upper back and I soon gave in. Then she pulled back, still holding on to my arms.
