There exists a pack of rogues, known as the Fallen Pack, that sits on a fairly large piece of territory right between the White Lightning Pack and the New Moon Pack. This pack of rogues is a rowdy one, but they know how and when to stay in line. Like when their Alpha walks into the room, or when they are in the presence of members of another pack. Due to this rowdiness, they often draw attention to themselves, and the surrounding packs do not like it. And because of this, there are fights. Fights that I, as the Alpha of the Fallen Pack, must resolve.
I pressed on through the thick foliage, being careful to remain silent as I trudged through enemy territory. The New Moon Pack had captured some of my pack members, and I intended on getting them back. James, the Alpha of the New Moon Pack knew I was young for an Alpha-- still in high school-- and so he figured I'd be the perfect target for him to take my pack, my land and to increase his dominance. But he's mistaken, for I am the dominant one.
Men mistake age for power and power for dominance. They do not understand how wisdom and intellect can overpower brute force by far. Wisdom and intellect was something I had very much of, and even though James was in his prime, and to most, incredibly strong, I knew he couldn't touch me. Especially because he doesn't even know what I look like. Another fault of men: they all assume I am a man. I take that as an insult, because there just is no possible way this pack would have survived our previous alpha without me, a woman. Nevertheless, I put up with their ignorance.
As I neared what I knew to be their pack house, I could begin to make out the sounds of laughter, chatter and music. All sounds of a celebration. Anger rose within me and I came up to the outskirts of a large clearing that held the pack house and the lavish party I had heard. There were no children, there seemed to be no teenagers either. Only adults, mocking the three men chained to tall wooden poles in the middle of it all. My men. Growling lowly, and almost inaudibly, I inched my way around the clearing until I could directly see their faces. The man in the middle was hardly a man at all-- he had just turned 18 two days ago, and I would know, because he's my best friend as well as my Beta. Jamie Louvre.
He knew I was here, I could tell by the way his face lit up as he sniffed the air. He mumbled to the men on either side of him, and I could just make it out, "Cega nema, ne mose se ni uzeti."
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
It was a Croatian proverb, the language my pack learned from birth and used when around anyone not from our pack. We were rogues, we had no pack link like the others, so we improvised.
The man on Jamie's right mumbled a response, "Oni slave naše pogubljenja, dječaka."
They are celebrating our execution, boy.
Despite the anger I felt at the man's disrespect for his Beta, I couldn't help but feel pride in Jamie for what he said next, "Ne. Jer Alfa ovdje."
No. Because the Alpha is here.
"What did you just say?" A tall, muscular man asked Jamie, approaching the three as the crowd behind them silenced and began to gather. Alpha James.
Jamie glared at him, "Nothing."
"Feel free to speak your mind, boy," Jame spoke as though he were inferior, though he was only ten years older than Jamie, "you're going to die tonight anyways."
It was at that line of words that I decided enough was enough and stepped out from behind the trees, many people concernedly pointing at me, whispering. James turned to look at me, a cruel smirk on his face, "And who might you be?"
"An offering," I stated simply.
He raised a brow, "Please, feel free to elaborate."
I smiled, but it was without any amusement or happiness. It was cold, empty and probably scary to most, "You let these men go, and I won't kill every last person here."
"Sweetheart, what the hell do you think gives you the authority to come on my land and threaten me like that?" He growled, taking a step forward. Men from the crowd rushed at me and the first to reach me had barely touched me for a millisecond before I reached up and snapped his neck, killing him instantly.
The other men faltered and I glared up at James, "Let them go, now."
Instead of following my command, he pursed his lips before giving the wrong order, "Kill her."
Sighing, I quickly changed into my black wolf, my bones and body shifting. They didn't have time to shift too, as I tore their heads from the bodies with my teeth. Calmly, I shifted back into my human form, my body covered in blood as I stared up at James. Horror was evident on his face but I remained void of emotion, "Do I have your attention now? I believe I said to let them go."
He nodded slightly, and the man right behind him, his Beta, began untying my men, and after a few minutes, they all hobbled over to me, standing behind me. James glared at me, and I smirked then winked, before taking off running, with my men all right behind me.
Once we were back on our territory and deep enough into it that we knew we weren't being followed, I stopped and turned to the men, "Are you all alright?"
"Yes, Alpha," the two replied, while Jamie just nodded.
I smiled tightly, "Good, now go back to your families."
They both hurried off, leaving me with Jamie. His dark skin was even darker with the minimal moon light and I could see blood mixed with sweat on him, but no injuries. He saw me looking and rolled his eyes, "Don't worry about me, Chandler. They healed. I'm good. Rick and John are good. You saved everyone. You won."
"Yeah, well I couldn't have my beta dying," I responded, walking towards the direction of my house.
I could practically feel him smirking as he trailed behind me, "Are you sure that's all you were worried about?"
"Positive," I nodded, pushing open my door and he followed me in. Mom wasn't home; she was probably helping with another new shift. They've been happening often recently.
He followed me up to my room and as soon as we were in there, he spun me around and crushed his lips against mine and I responded immediately, gasping as he grabbed my butt. He took advantage of my mouth opening and shoved his tongue inside of my mouth, our tongues dueling for dominance. Separating for a breath, he threw me onto the bed and ripped his shirt off. I smirked at him and spoke, panting slightly, "I take it you missed me."
His eyes were dark with lust as he tore my shirt off, looking at my barren torso without any shame, "Hell yes I missed you."
His lips wandered around, as did his hands, touching my breasts, tracing my jaw and leaving feather-like feelings all down my neck. He expertly unclasped my bra while kissing the base of my neck, making me moan in pleasure.
He chuckled, his voice deep and raspy with lust, "I take it you missed me, too."
I looked into his eyes with intensity and grit out, "Just fuck me already."
He then proceeded to pull my pants off, rip my panties off with his teeth and he did indeed fuck me. And let's just say, I did not get much sleep. Then again, I wasn't one to complain about that.
