Emma-
A few days later I was been chilling in the bus after a show while the guys all showered."Hey Emma can you give me a hand?" Reggie, the driver said, popping his head up to the lounge from the front stairs.
"Yeah what's up?" I asked as I walked to his area in the front.
"Try and start the bus when I tell for you to." He instructed me.
"Okay?" I looked at him confused as I sat in the driver's seat, attempting to turn the key when he yelled for me to.
"Just as I thought." He sighed, grabbing his phone.
"What?" I bit my lip. This couldn't be good.
"We are broken down, and it isn't a small repair. We are gonna need a replacement bus for a few days." He sighed as he dialed a number, walking off as the guys all piled on, looking at me strangely as I sat in the driver's seat, clutching my head.
"Why are you sitting there Emma?" Cameron chuckled.
"Because I was helping Reggie." I groaned.
"With what?"
"The bus is broken down. He's making a call right now."
"No big deal, this happens all the time." Ben shrugged
"He said it wasn't a small repair and that we would need a replacement bus for a few days." I sighed.
"Fuck. At least he's getting one." James groaned, sitting on the couch as I moved through the lounge to pack some of my items up.
"Well, I got you guys an RV, that's all that was available in the area for now." He sighed.
"What! How many days?" Sam groaned.
"Three or so. Its a big repair." Reggie sighed. "I'm sorry. Get your stuff packed and we will try and fix this as fast as possible.
"Well who is bunking together then?" Ben sat down.
"Not me." They all said at once.
"What do you mean? What's so bad about an RV?" I raised my eyebrow.
"They only have five bunks." James explained.
"Oh. Well don't expect me to share. I'm the only girl." I smirked.
"No. No way. She is not getting exempt from possibly sharing a bed." Denis glared. Asshole. He just wanted his own bunk and having me as an option to share with someone gave him a better chance.
"Let's just draw straws." Sam suggested.
We all nodded. That was a good idea, statistics were on my side.
Sam cut two straws short and placed them in this hand along with four longer one and held them out for everyone to grab.
We all grabbed them quickly, comparing them to see who had to share.
Fuck.
I got the short one, I glanced around to see Denis holding the other shorter one and we exchanged groans.
"This is your fault. You shouldn't have made me share." I glared at him.
"Shut up princess you can get off of your little pedestal and get down and dirty with the rest of us." He glared.
"Was that a reference to the band you left? I'm sure they are happy with you now." I smirked, getting up and walking out the door with my things as they all stood there, their jaws on the floor at my comment.
I got into the RV, James trailing behind me.
"Emma! That was uncalled for." He snapped.
"I was defending myself. Deal with it." I rolled my eyes.
"I don't like your attitude Emma. You weren't like this when I last saw you. What happened?"
"Middle child syndrome." I muttered.
"Emma you are going to need to speak clearly for me to hear you." James rolled his eyes as the rest of them got onto the RV, all putting their things in various slots.
"Doesn't matter." I muttered, turning to Denis as I slid into our bunk.
"Sorry." I muttered.
He rolled his eyes.
"Right."
I scoffed at his rudeness as he climbed next to me, both of us pushing each other around in an attempt to get comfortable.
"Stop pushing me." I glared.
"I'm trying to settle in. Just sit still for a moment while I adjust. I'm a lot bigger than you." He glared back.
I glared at him as I continued to move about, pulling the covers to me so he couldn't have any.
"Do you want to stop being a bitch?" He snapped at me, causing me to flinch back and his eyes to soften.
"I'm sorry." He apologized immediately.
"Should be." I bit my lip.
"Here. Just sit still and I can get us to both fit on here." He said.
I nodded. His comment startled me and I was determined to seem a bit less bitchy after it.
Denis shuffled around a bit, pulling the covers off and then wiggling over to where I was, tangling his legs in mine and pulling me close to his chest and adjusting the pillow so we could both use it, although it was a bit awkward staring directly at each other.
He pulled the blankets up so we were Borge covered and sighed.
"Better?"
I nodded. "Quite comfortable."
"You know. I've never slept with a girl in a bunk." He chuckled.
"That's surprising." I laughed.
"Well. I've fucked girls, but never actually slept. If you know what I mean." He smirked.
"That's disgusting."
"It's fun." He chuckled, placing his hand on my hip, lightly rubbing circles into it with his thumb.
"Getting handsy are we?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Maybe." He smirked.
"I'll excuse it, only because it's nice to have someone touch me gently again and it doesn't hurt that you are cute."
"What do you mean gently?" He bit his lip.
"I don't want to get into my past. Goodnight Denis." I turned around, signaling the end of the conversation, causing him to sigh.
I hated leaving people hanging, but I couldn't get into the details of my past. It was too much.
