I gaze into the evening sky,
but I know the tears won't fall.
I feel and crave within my core
and smile throughout your soul.
Even though you're gone,
I don't feel down or out.
The fact your light lives on
ignites my spark to reach for more.
And yet I have to ask
why you're out of this world,
why you left when I've done it all...
I guess the chance is out the door.
I'd know what you'd say,
I'd know every word of yours
and for sure you'd be there,
when I'd not be myself.
In the end, I wanna say:
I thank you for our shared path.
For all the times you gave me a helping hand
I shan't forget as I never should have.
