The next morning Kakashi surprised Hinata and Sasuke by showing up on time. When asked about it Kakashi tried to avoid the subject, but Iruka said he dragged Kakashi outta bed. With that they took off towards wave country, though Sasuke and Hinata were smart enough not to question Naruto and Iruka's new outfits.

Only a little while in Sasuke remembered something that the Hokage had said, "Hey Iruka-sensei, the Hokage said you're on this mission as a second Jonin, but I thought teachers were always chunin."

Before Iruka could say anything both Naruto and Kakashi answered, "Bloody Waves," making Sasuke and Hinata confused.

Iruka laughed lightly, before he answered, "Ah between the time of the of the Kyuubi attack and the time I became an instructor four years ago. I was a member of the of the ANBU team Kitsune, during which time I got the nickname Bloody Waves."

"Wait Bloody Waves, why," Hinata asked looking scared of Iruka, who just looked sheepish.

"Bloody Waves is from that fact that Iruka can become a ruthless killer with his summons and water style jutsu," Kakashi said shivering slightly.

"Kitsune...Wait I know that team, Itachi was on it," Sasuke yelled staring at Iruka.

"Yep, Itachi was the second in command, our team didn't actually take many missions, but the few we did take are now notorious," Iruka said smiling at fond memories.

"But Itachi was always busy with ANBU, what was he doing," Sasuke said looking confused.

"Team Kitsune's real job was to train Kitsune, one of our members, to control his Kekkei Genkai," Kakashi answered.

"Where you a member to Kakashi-sensei?" Hinata asked, getting a 'Yep,' from him.

Just when Sasuke was about to ask another question, they all noticed Naruto tense, and make a sign for them to stop.

"There's two chunin up above, they reek of blood and steel," Naruto said, looking ready to fight.

"Continue walking. Act like we know nothing," Kakashi said and began walking again, "Naruto are they anything to worry about?"

"No, not at all really. Sasuke just might be able to take out one, but Hinata might have some trouble handling the other," Naruto said with purple eyes once again, noticing Tazuna moving slightly closer to Iruka, worry coating is aurra.

"Take them out Naruto we don't want to cause any trouble," Iruka said, but Sasuke rejected.

"I can easily handle these guys," and he rushed forward, throwing kunai at the puddle in the middle of the road.

Then the chunin popped up, throwing a Kunai at Sasuke, barely chunin speed, but he couldn't move fast enough to avoid it.

But right before it could silence Sasuke forever, a wall of water came up in front of him. Looking back Sasuke see that Iruka had opened one of the scrolls that had been hanging by his waist.

Gone where Iruka's normal clothes, though he still wore his chunin vest and shirt, but now the sleeves were covered up to his elbows in bandage wrapping to keep loose fabric outta the way. He had on the same with his black pants, but now around his waist was a couple scrolls hung from his belt. While in place of his usual sandals were black steel toed boots with buckles going up the front instead of laces.

Smirking Iruka moved his hand away from the scroll, but more water poured out, following his hand. Looking at the two chain covered chunin, Iruka moved his hand and pointed at them.

Sasuke could only watch as all the water that had left the scroll seemingly turned toward the chunin and went rushing at them. The chunin slashed at the water with their chain and gauntlets, but soon they were completely surrounded by water.
