Ryan's POV:

Since my fifth hour class is so far away from Mr. Stoppelmoor's class, I'm now the last one to stumble in before the bell rings. As I pass Mr. Stoppelmoor's desk to get to my own he says, "I guess you've worn off on Jennifer."

I turn around to face him. "What do you mean?" I ask.

"She's not here" he says simply.

I make a scene of turning around and skimming all the desks for a face I know won't be there.

I turn back around and shrug my shoulders, then take my seat.

When the bell rings Mr. Stoppelmoor takes attendance, then instructs us to pass our homework to the front row of desks.

While we do this Mr. Stoppelmoor collects the assignment for today and begins to pass it out.

Class goes by agonizingly slow, and my mind keeps traveling to Jen and wondering if she's still there. She has to be, I tell myself, I tied her up well.

Finally, the afternoon announcements come on, signaling that the end of the day is near.

Soon after they end, the bell rings. I race out of the classroom and out of the school, straight to my car.

Within minutes I'm home, and once I put the car in park everything seems to slow down. I grab my keys and go to my front door. Shutting and locking it behind me, I walk through the foyer and to the stairs. I climb them and speed walk to my bedroom. I wrap my hand around the door knob and push it open and peek through.

Jen is right where I left her, her eyes slowly opening as she comes out of a light slumber. She looks uncomfortable, with her arms stretched above her head and her legs tied apart.

"Hi" I say.

Her eyes look uneasy. "Ryan, I really have to go to the bathroom" she says softly.

I'm the only one here, but I can easily catch her if she tries to run.

I nod and start untying her feet, then her hands. She doesn't have to suffer like this much longer, I tell myself. She doesn't put up any fight, and I find myself thankful I don't have to discipline her.

Once untied she quickly hops off the bed and I follow her as she awkwardly waddles to the bathroom.

As she does her business I hear the garage door open and shut. "Ryan! It's Will!" I hear him shout.

I walk over to the top of the stair case, "Up here!" I shout.

I hear the toilet flush and I quickly walk back to the bathroom door. Suddenly, the door flies open and slams into my face, my toes also getting run over by the bottom of the door.

"Shit!" I yelp as a blur of a girl runs past me. I'm quickly on her tail as she runs to the stairs.

Just before she starts going down them she turns around and sprays something in my face, my eyes burning. By the smell of it, it's my cologne. My eyes start to water and everything is blurry. Even though my eyes feel like they're on fire, my only thought is, 'What if Jen escapes?'
