What had she gotten her self into? Honestly, it was a good question at the time. Pirates, that's what.

Raven worked in the kitchen of that dang ship for almost a year! She barely saw sunlight, yet it was still better than being in an arranged marriage.

Raven Kingston, the only daughter of one of the most prestigious families in the Provence, a pirate? At that time she wouldn't have called herself a pirate yet.

One day, she cracked. The pirate woke up one morning and killed the captain. That's right. One bullet through the brain and he was done.

Raven took over, taking up the role as captain herself. She didn't like their ways, so shs decided to make her own. And that leads us to now... Two years later.

Ring Ring Ring.

"Stooppppp..," The woman threw a pillow over her head, trying to block it out. "I'm not hungry..." She groaned, still half asleep. She slowly sat up, she could already tell how bad her hair is.

Okay, maybe she was bit hungry. The captain could hear yelling and cheering a couple levels above her. "I'll kill 'em all one day..." She sighed and dragged herself out of bed and into the bathroom. Raven got dressed in her usual attire, a white long sleeve lace shirt with a black and red corset and long black shirt. She sat on the stool in the corner and laced up her black boots.

Raven stood up and looked in the mirror. Her ebony hair was all tangled and crazy but other wise she looked fine. She always thought she looked too soft to be a pirate. Her pale skin and small build, she was tall though. But the thing that killed were her eyes. A sharp green that could pierce any heart with one look. Most who looked upon her thought her beautiful, that is until they met her.

You're Raven King- No. You're Raven Black. The fierce Captain of The Black Bird. The best pirate crew in all 17 seas...

The maiden nodded at herself in approval. She brushed out her glossy hair and put on her captain's hat with a raven's feather on the rim and walked back into her quarters.

Books were scattered across the floor, a couple maps too. She was up late last night, tracking their route. She walked out and up the stairs a couple levels. She's already late for breakfast, yet there's no one sitting at the table. They're all gathered around the window in the back of the dinning hall.

"What goin' on here?" Raven demanded but no one listened. She pushed through the group and they finally noticed her and backed away. She peered out the window and searched for what they were gawkin' at. Then she saw it, in the distance, Rosebell Harbour.

Black turned back to her crew. "Alright, Lads. Don't stuff yer selves silly because tonight, we're eating out!"

Rosebell, Raven Black's home town. Was she worried? Maybe. Was she gonna tell anyone. Nope.

The chances of running into people she knew in the past just went from 20% to 90%. After breakfast, the crew hurried to dock the ship. Raven jumped off even before they were fully docked and landed gracefully on the dock, her skirts fluttering the breeze off the sea.

She threw the collector a pouch of coins and kept walking and heard him gasp as she did so.

"Captain!" Raven turned her head and saw Piper running towards her. She was a young girl they took in a couple months ago, the crew found her stranded on an island, she said she didn't remember anything.

"What is it, Piper?" She inquired, sighing. She was around 12 years old right and liked to be a part of things, especially if they included Raven. "Where are you going? Can I come with you?" She asked eagerly. "Sure, Hun. Just not all day." The captain patted her head. A part of her is still an aristocrat... She still had the manners and disposition, which she was trying to shake.

Piper and Raven had spent most of the day together, going through the little shops on the edge of town. The ones the aristocrats usually avoided. Raven had ended up tucking all her thick ebony hair into her hat, just in case.

Them and the crew met up at a pub a little closer to the centre of town. Yes, a pub is not the place for a 12 year old, so Raven got her a room in the inn upstairs and Piper was reading and sleeping up there.

"Cheers!" Raven exclaimed, putting up her mug of ale. "To the best crew in all 17 seas!" She yelled, grinning at them all. "CHEERS!" They chanted in response. They clunked all their mugs together and drink. She was the first one done and slammed her mug down on the table. "Get on my level, boys..." They all laughed and Raven headed up to the bar to get a second.

Black ordered one for herself and leaned against the bar. She watch the men, smiling at their foolishness. Sure, Raven had had interest in men before but never for any of her crew, except maybe—

Imagine if she had stayed at home. If she got married...

"Excuse me..." Someone mumbled as they pushed by people. They pushed Raven out of the way and she stumbled, her hat falling off her head, she swooped down and caught it before it hit the ground.

Her long hair settled on her shoulders and down to the small of her back. Raven stalked up to the man who shoved her out of his way, who was now standing at the bar where she was. "Oi! What's yer problem?" She spat, flipping her hat back on, keeping her hair down.

The man turned to Raven, his face is a little bruised but now barely recognizable. He had medium length brown hair with a clean shaven face. He wore a normal commoners outfit, brown trousers and a tunic.

"Jonathan?" Raven gawked. Her ex-fiancé...
