This world was strange... Mermaids, Sirens and Sea Serpents, all magical things people could encounter in the seas. But never did Raven expect to see her ex-fiancé here.
"Lady Kingston?" Jonathan gaped.
"What in the world are you doing here?" She demanded, instantly dropping the pirate accent.
"Me? What are you doing here?" He gestured towards her.
"I- uh...." She didn't know what to say. It's not like the captain could say: I'm here with my pirate crew to which I'm the captain.
"... Work." Raven half lied. He examined her closely and drew his pistol, pressing it to Raven's heart.
"W-what are you doing?" She gasped, trying to back away but he had a tight grip on her wrist. The loud chatter and noises of the tavern continued as if nothing was happening.
"Raven Kingston. I have been looking everywhere for you..," He grinned. "And look at that! I just happen to bump into you in our home town!" He laughed like a maniac.
"What are you talking about, Jonathan? I think you're losing it..." Raven's heart started beating faster, her eyes growing wide. She tried to fight against him but he was too strong, she couldn't get to her rapier or pearl handled revolver.
"It's not Jonathan, it's Johnny now," He sneered. "You're not only a Pirate Captain wanted all over the kingdoms but you're also a runaway aristoc-"
Raven cut him off by finally drawing her silver rapier and held it to his neck. "Well Johnny. That girl is gone and is never coming back..."

Johnny stared at the woman he was once was betrothed to. He actually couldn't take his eyes off her. She looked radiant.
The man had always thought she was beautiful, even though he had only met her in person a couple times...
"What?" He snapped to attention, looking into her cold green eyes. What had she just said?
"I said," Raven growled. "I am fully aware that I'm wanted throughout the 17 seas." She paused, seeming almost proud of that fact.
"But why would my family ever want me back? I disgraced them and never talked to them again." She snarled and slowly lowered her sword and it hung loosely at her side.
Johnny narrowed his eyes, lowing his pistol as well. But he quickly pulled a dagger from his belt and swung it at her.
She had saw it coming, but it still grazed her arm. Then he felt suddenly dizzy, stumbling backward. The last thing he saw was the spinning smug expression on Raven Kingston's pretty face.

His head throbbed and the world was rocking, oh wait...
Jonathan pulled him self into a sitting position, viewing his surroundings. He was in what looked like a cargo storage, the room swaying? Just great, he was on a ship. And he was most certain it was The Black Bird.
The man went to run his fingers through his hair but was stopped. He then realized he was bound loosely to a support beam by ropes. He groaned and adjusted his position.
He heard footsteps coming down the set of stairs and swallowed. Had someone finally come to kill him?
He wasn't sure if his fear heightened or went down when he saw his ex-fiancé emerge from above. She was in the same attire as usual, but her ebony hair was now braided loosely over her shoulder, her oriented captain's hat upon her head.
"I'm surprised you haven't killed me and/or thrown me over board yet." He said thickly, avoiding her eyes.
Raven sat on a crate across from him, her legs crossed. Johnny decided to focus on the laces of her boots instead.
"I understand why you would be afraid," She started, ignoring his statement. "But you should at least look me in the eye." She said.
He slowly raised his deep blue eyes to hers and held her intense gaze. She had an elbow of her knee and her chin resting in her hand.
"Why'd you bring me here in the first place?" He asked. His eyes flicked to the white bandage on her upper right arm. He smirked and felt a little more confident. She wasn't immortal like the rumours said.
Raven gave him a ghost of a smile. "I couldn't have you blabbing and ruining my reputation anymore than you already have," She pursed her red lips. "So, you're here... To join my crew."
He started to choke on his own spit and grimaced at her. Although the noble man had not spoken a word about Raven Kingston, he always kept an ear out for the name of Raven Black. "You want me to join your crew?"
"That's right. And I would suggest you say yes. Or I could just kill you here and now." Almost out of no where, the devil woman pulled out the dagger that he had struck her with earlier.
Jonathan contemplated his options. It's not like he could go home anyway, not now. Maybe he could redeem himself if he captured her...
"Fine," He said after what felt like a very long time. "Untie me?"
Raven stood and strut behind the beam and knelt to her hutches, her skirt skimming the wood. She began to untie the ropes, her hands basically sitting him his.
Johnny's face grew increasingly red but then he shook it off and sighed when his wrist were free. "Where to, Captain?"
"Carladam, of course."
And his stomach dropped.
