Chapter 5 (Brianna's POV)

I smiled confidently to the audience, it wasn't fake at all. We rocked our final song, I mean I've been singing Teenage Dirtbag for as long as I could remember. Now I have four other girls to sing along with me as well. We were going to win, I could feel it in my bones.

I looked to my left and saw all the other girls. They sadly didn't look as confident even though they should be. How could they even doubt us? I kept my eyes on them when I saw all their faces fall. One by one they all looked at each other, tears falling down their cheeks. I was so confused, why- oh my god. It hit me. We didn't win, I was so caught up in my thoughts that I barely heard the host announce our name for third place.

My heart felt like it was on fire, slowly melting down until there was nothing left. I watched some other girl band win first place, confetti rained down all over us. That should be our confetti, I thought. It should have been us. It should have been me. We exited stage right and made our way down the stairs.

All five of us formed a small circle and collapsed into a hug. "It's ok guys, it's ok.' Emily whispered. I broke away from the group, suddenly angry. "No it's not, alright? We deserved to win! How the hell did we not win?" I screamed. "Bri, come on. Just calm down, we made it this far right?" Cassie soothed.

I was going to whine some more but I didn't get the chance. "Shaina! Hi, I'm sorry you didn't win. I know the feeling." I turned around and saw none other than Louis Tomlinson. Not to mention he was hugging Shaina. Then it wasn't just Louis, the rest of the boys walked up right behind him. "Hey girls, you were amazing! Don't even feel bad, we know what it's like to get third place." Liam joked. Oh lord, Liam.

I've loved Liam even before One Direction, I watched him the first time he auditioned. I saw him grow up while I did too. Okay, I admit it. I was just another crazy fangirl. But come on, how could you not love those deep brown eyes of his? The girls were just as starstruck as me, we were all fans. That's how we bonded when our band was formed.

"Well, hey. You guys are the famous ones." I said before the silence got too awkward. The boys laughed. "Listen guys," Niall said. "We've been thinking about this for a while now and-" Liam finished the sentence for him, "and we were wondering if you guys could be opening act for our tour?" He said, looking straight at me, I might add.

"Are you serious?" Whispered Aleeha. "Of course! You guys are brilliant, we know you'd be perfect." Said Harry. "Well um.. we'd love to! But we really have to discuss it first." Said Emily. She always thought things through, if it was me I'd be packing already. "No problem, just give us a call. Shaina already has my number" Louis said with a wink. With that they left. All of us just stood there with our mouths open. "Well, this day sure was eventful." I said.
