The Ball (part two)

"Bones! Stop pulling!" I shouted as he tried to comb my hair
"Shut up, Jim. Your hair is just so bloody tangled!" Bones said
"Um.. Guys?" Pavel called from the bathroom "i need help putting this thing on."
"I will help." Spock said getting up from the bed
"There." Bones said removing the comb from my hair
I stood up and walked towards the full body mirror. I wore a classic dark blue suit, and black tie. I wonder what the other people, erm... Ailiens, will wear.
Then the bell rang
"I guess that means its time to go?" I asked
"No." Bones said "that's the third bell. We're late."
Then we ran out of the room
Luckily, we weren't that late. We spotted the girls on an empty table.
Clieo was wearing a purple dress, Nyota wore a green one, and Scarlett wore a blue one plus her silver circlet with a red gem, around her brow.
Scarlett looked amazing. Espessially with her hair down.
"Hey, guys." Clieo said smiling. Pavel sat next to her, Spock sat next to Nyota, Bones sat down next to Pavel, and I sat down next to Scarlett
Scotty, on the other hand, went strait for the drinks.
"Hey," I said sitting next to Scarlett "you look great."
She smiled "Thanks. You dont look too bad yourself."
"Did we miss anything?" Bones asked
"No." Scarlett said "just a boring introduction speech that duke over there said." She jabbed her thumb to an old guy over by the table
"We're lucky then." Pavel said
"Guys?" Clieo called "I think Scotty's gonna raid the drinks table."
"He already did." Pavel said
Scarlett glanced over to the band playing
"This music is boring."
"Agreed." Bones said
Then Scarlett's eyes sparkled. Oh, no
"I know that look on your face." I told her "What are you-?"
She raced over to the band. She whispered something into the conductor's ear. Then she handed him a paper and placed out a machine that looked like a high tech radio player. The conductor smiled and she raced back to the table
"What did you do this time?" Nyota asked
"Wait for it," she said
Then the music changed and played "Hallelujiah" by panic at the disco:
"All you sinners stand up, sing hallelujiah! Halelujiah!....."
The audience seemed to like this, even Keith did. The king seemed to like this idea, he gave Scarlett a thumbs up.
Clieo grabbed Pavel's wrist and pulled him to the dancefloor.
"I'm not really much of a dancer." Scarlett said
I smiled "That's fine. I know its not your favourite Silenia juice or anything, but wanna split a bottle?" I asked showing her a bottle filled with, you know, beer or something else
She smiled "You never change, Jim." Then she stood up "Alright, Jim. Come on."

We went out to the balcony. The stars were so beautifull at night. We took a swig at the bottle
"This stuff is good." She admitted "but not as good as Silenia juice."
"Yeah," i agreed "Your right."
"Of course i am." She said grinning
"You know," i said "you really look good in that dress. Why dont you dress like that all the time?"
"Ha! In your dreams, Kirk."
"It was worth a try." I said
Then she tracced a circle on the stone railing of the balcony, leaving a trail of frost on the stone
"You know," she said still tracing the stone "they offered me a ship."
I looked at her confused "Who?"
"Star fleet." She answered "The USS Artemis."
I panicked. "What did you say? I mean, its totally fine if you accepted, but if not-"
"Slow down there, Captain." She said laughing "I declined."
I let out a sigh if relief "Why?"
"It just didnt feel right." The she smirked and nudged me with her elbow "Besides, your not getting rid of me that easily."
I smirked "Now, why would i want to do that?"
I pushed her close to me by the her back and kissed her. Her hands cupped my cheeks.
But eventually, we pulled away.
Then inside, the song "Shut up and dance with me." Started playing
"I knlw your not a dancer but," i offered her my hand "You wanna dance?" I asked her
She took my hand, smiling "Are you kidding me? I love this song!" And we both just shut up and danced
