We trudge down the trail of dirt,
The heavy duffels on our backs,
weighing us down each step.
I face my feet; not long ago,
I felt closer to the ground.
I stare back at you,
Your change undeniably large,
but you don't look back.
You continue to drag your feet,
Along the dirt track. The question left buzzing around,
Why?
Why don't you turn?
Why don't you say hello?
Is it that you don't remember,
Those thousand of days spent together? Those early years,
Of idle fights, and pointless arguments,
Those sleepless, tearful nights,
And those empty threats,
Including all those times we lunged at each other. Are those gone?
Have you forgotton it all?
Those hollow apologies,
All that painstaking groupwork,
Those harsh words that shattered us,
The times when,
You stood as a shield for me,
And I stood for you.
We were mortal enemies without,
And close friends within.
At one time, I thought,
That I could not live without you,
Yet now we do not even sneak,
a single glance.
What has happened now?Time, the mighty river flows on,
Indifferent of what it does,
Or how it effects the people,
Who choose; to let the current take them with a large swift roar,
Or to stay at the banks,
Of remembrance .We approached the end, the path diverging into two.
I turn left,
And you turn right,
As all those moments,
Faded back into the reservoirs of memories,
Forgotten amongst the other fragments,
But present for eternity.Iman Ahmed

I was just thinking about how fast things are changing nowadays.
It makes me feel somewhat sad, yet reminds me that the future is yet to come. How do you guys feel about these sudden changes?
