A New Battle Begins

**Later That Night**:

That night while everyone slept, Seth couldn't so he got up and quietly went into the main part of the room, careful not to wake anyone. He went onto the balcony and stood leaning against the railing, his life had never felt so out of control before and he hated it!

"Couldn't sleep either?" Roman asked from behind Seth, making him jump.

"Shit Ro, you scared me!" Seth stated, as Roman joined him at the railing.

"Sorry man! You okay?"

"I...I don't know anymore Rome! I just feel like my life is completely spiraling out of control and there's nothing I can do to stop it! A few months ago our lives were...simpler you know?"

"A few months ago we didn't know Dean and Paige!" Roman pointed out.

"I know." Seth replied sighing.

"Seth, do...do you regret meeting them?" Roman asked shocked.

"Never!" Seth replied quickly, without hesitation.

"Then what do you mean?"

"I just miss knowing I was in control of my life! Finding out that the bureau; the same damn people we risked our lives for over the years, let Ford tail us pisses me off! Like all that we've done; all the good we've done was for nothing, you know?" Seth said sighing again.

"Seth, we can't let what happened with Ford take away all we've done over the years! We've worked our asses off and our track record proves it! We're damn good Agents Seth and no one; not even the bureau can deny that!" Roman said.

"That's just it Ro, we are! But none of that matters to anyone as long as we haven't taken down The Authority!" Seth pointed out. "I'm sick of it Ro, I'm sick of it all!"

"What does that mean?" Roman asked, hating how defeated his brother sounded.

"It means...I'm done! I don't want to be a part of this anymore, I don't want to be an Agent!" Seth answered.

"You don't mean that Seth!" Roman said shocked.

"Yeah Ro, I do! I'm sorry, but what's the point of doing all of this if no one cares, but us? Dammit Ro, we sacrificed so much for the bureau and the minute things get rough what happens? They turn on us, like none of what we've done ever existed...like we're the criminals!" Seth said angrily. "Maybe it's time we start that life with Dean and Paige? Move away and start over?"

"Seth, I'm just as hurt and betrayed as you are, but we can't just walk away! The Authority are still out there hurting people and only we can stop them! At least wait until we talk to Reed again, please...for me?"

"Alright Ro, I'll wait! If he takes us off the case...then I'm done!" Seth agreed, before he went back inside.

Roman had never heard Seth sound so defeated before, he's already given up and that worried Roman. Truthfully though, Roman felt like Seth did, he was tired of the never ending bullshit and was close to walking away too! He knew he couldn't though, he couldn't just walk away knowing The Authority were still out there hurting innocent people! He also knew, that when it came down to it, Seth couldn't walk away either!

**Two Days Later**:

The days passed and finally the day of their meeting with Reed arrived. Today was the day that would decide their future, everything was riding on Reed's decision!

After getting ready, Roman and Seth said their goodbyes to Dean and Paige, before they left the room and headed for Seth's car. They drove to the station in silence, both lost in their thoughts about what could happen. When they arrived Seth parked and they got out silently; neither knowing what to say, they went into the station and to the front desk, where they asked for Agent Reed.

"Agents Reigns and Rollins, thank you for coming in!" Reed greeted them smiling, as they stood and shook his hand. "How are you two?"

"We'll be better after the meeting!" Seth answered.

"I understand completely! How is Dean doing?"

"Much better, he's been released, but can't fly home for another couple of days yet!" Roman explained.

"I'm glad to hear that!" Reed said smiling, as he lead the way to the interview room.

Once there, they went inside and took their seats, Roman was nervous not just because their jobs were on the line, but because he could lose Seth; which scared him more than losing his job!

"Alright gentlemen, after going over everything with Special Agents Clark and Anderson, we've decided on your future with not only The Authority case, but the bureau as well! Now, we didn't take this decision lightly, you two are our top Agents, so we made sure to take everything into consideration, went over everything line by line and piece by piece!" Reed explained.

"Thank you sir." Roman said.

"Don't thank me yet Agent Reigns!" Reed said. "Even though you're our top Agents, the bureau still has concerns about you two and the case!"

"Concerns? Like what?" Seth asked.

"Well Agent Rollins, for starters there's the bad habit Agent Reigns has of being kidnapped by The Authority and..."

"Sir, I've never been kidnapped by The Authority! It was The Wyatt Family both times who kidnapped me!" Roman corrected him, cutting Reed off.

"Moving on, there's still the lack of progress months into the case! Those are just a couple of our concerns, but like I said in the beginning, we took everything into consideration! Which is why we've decided to..."
