A New Battle Begins

New Partners And New Problems

Roman and Seth held their breath waiting for Reed to tell them the bureau's decision on their future.

"We've decided to...keep you on The Authority case, but..." Reed began, but a knock at the door interrupted him. "Ah, right on time! Come in!" He called out, as two men both Roman and Seth recognized came in.

"Are we interrupting Special Agent Reed?" One of the men asked, as they both shook Reed's hand.

"Not at all Agent Sanders, you're right on time gentlemen!" Reed answered. "Agents Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, this is Agent Martin Sanders and his partner Agent Spencer Fields!" Reed said introducing the four men.

"It's nice to meet you, we've see you guys around the office!" Seth greeted them, as they shook hands.

"It's nice to meet the both of you too! We know all about you, you guys are the best in the bureau!"

"Thanks Agent Fields!" Roman replied smiling. "Sir, are we finished here?"

"There's one more thing! Agents Sanders and Fields are your new partners on the case!"

"What?" Roman and Seth together.

"You have the week before you fly back to town to fill them in and catch them up!"

"Sir, we don't need backup on our case!" Seth refused.

"This isn't up for discussion gentlemen! We need to make progress in the case and after Agent Ford's death we have to bring them down as quickly as possible am I understood gentlemen?" Reed asked firmly.

"Yes sir!" All four men said together.

"Good!"

"Sir, we can do..."

"Agent Rollins, it's either you two accept it and move forward or you can turn in your badges and hardware?"

"Yes sir!" Seth and Roman said together.

"Excellent! I'll be flying back home in two days, but I'll be expecting full updates every week! You're all dismissed, good luck and stay safe!" Reed said, before he left the room.

"We're really looking forward to working with you!" Sanders said smiling.

"Let's get something straight boys! You two have no idea what you're in for! The Authority are dangerous, they don't care you're Feds, to them you two are nothing!" Seth warned them angrily.

"Seth!" Roman scolded.

"We know all about them Agent Rollins, we did a lot research and..."

"You know nothing about them! Just because you did research, doesn't mean anything! We've been after them for months, we know how they work! This is and always will be our case! We don't need or want your help, so just stay the hell out of our way!" Seth ordered, cutting Fields off.

"Seth, enough!" Roman demanded angrily. "Let's go, we'll call you guys tomorrow!"

After leaving the room, Seth and Roman walked out of the station and went to their car. They got in and drove back to the hotel in silence, Seth was pissed off even more because once again the bureau was making them out to be bad Agents! If it wasn't for Roman, Seth would have quit the minute Sanders and Fields were brought onto the case! When they reached the hotel Seth parked and they got out, and headed inside, still neither of them spoke. They got to their room and went inside, they found Dean and Paige watching TV, Dean turned it off when they came in.

"Well?" Paige asked nervously.

"The case is still ours!" Roman answered, as Seth laughed bitterly.

"Ours?" Seth said mocking him.

"What the hell is going on?" Dean asked, as he and Paige stood.

"What's going on is that we have to work with two other Agents on the case and report weekly to Reed! Does that sound like it's still our case Roman?" Seth said angrily.

"Partners?" Paige asked shocked.

"Yeah, Agents Sanders and Fields!" Roman answered sighing.

"Sorry you guys got screwed again!" Dean said gently, as he hugged Roman, Paige hugged Seth.

"Come on, let's get some dinner and you can tell us all about it!" Paige said, as she kissed Seth.

**Days Later**:

Days later they were back home, all four were glad to be back! They had spent the week in Hawaii going over the case with Sanders and Fields, telling them all they needed to know! After they got back home Roman and Seth met with Sanders and Fields at the station and got back to work, while Dean and Paige stayed hidden from The Authority at the hotel.

Meanwhile Agent Reed had returned home and was at his office working when he received a phone call that would be the start of new problems for the foursome!

"Hello?"

"I'm looking for Agent Reed!"

"I'm Agent Reed, how can I help you sir?"

"It's me that can help you! You see Agent Reed, the truth is being kept from you!" The man stated.

"What are you talking about? Who is this?" Reed demanded.

"Who am I? That's a good question and my answer is...I'm a friend! As for what I'm talking about...Dean and Paige aren't just pretty faces! They are a huge part of your case!" The man said, before he laughed.

"What does that mean?" Reed questioned, unsure if he could trust the man or not.

"Come now Agent Reed, I can't do your job for you! You're the FBI Agent, you figure it out!" The man said laughing, before he hung up.

Reed hung up and sat starring at his phone, he had no idea what any of what the man said meant! His first reaction was to blow it off, labelling it a prank call, but his instincts were telling him that what the man said was true! Not one to ignore his instincts, Reed turned to his computer and began doing background checks on both Dean and Paige. After searching every database in the world for any kind of info on them he found...nothing!

Finding nothing on either made Reed very suspicious; maybe Ford had been right all along! Maybe Reigns and Rollins have been hiding something from the bureau all this time? He couldn't deny that something strange was going on and the only way to figure anything out would be to talk to them, confront them and hopefully get to the bottom of this finally!

Meanwhile Roman and Seth; despite being angry they were forced to work with Sanders and Fields, worked harder than ever to bring The Authority down once and for all! Dean and Paige helped them by finding out anything they could about the family's business! They were able to use their connections to get info on them, but right now the family was quiet...too quiet! Both Dean and Paige knew that The Authority being quiet meant that they were planning something big! What worried Dean and Paige the most was that usually one or two of the families contacts knew something about their plans, but not this time! None of them knew anything and that could mean that the family was planning something not only huge, but dangerous too for everyone!
