Sollux got out of bed shivering at the feeling of his small feet against the cold wooden floor. He opened his door closing it behind him and walked down the hall into the kitchen seeing his father making peanut butter and honey sandwiches, he gave his father a toothy grin and went over to hug his leg,Psi patted his head running his slender fingers through the boys hair. "How wa2 your nap?" "Good,IIm 2tiill 2leepy though." "Well come on,let2 have 2ome lunch and then iif you want you can go back to 2leep." "Ok." Sollux mumbled quietly as his father placed him in a chair setting down a plate in front of him. After he ate instead of going to sleep he went outside running down the stairs and plopping down in the warm sand that lay beneath him. "Remember 2ollux,don't go too far!" Psi called out to him from the door. "II know!" He called back,he played around in the sand and built a few small sand castles,only,the waves crashed onto the shore soaking him and destroying the giant sand tower he made. A thought popped up into his inoccent mind and he remember the strange boy named Eridan. He ran over to the rock they'd met by searching for his friend. "Eriidan?" He said quietly after seeing strange movement in the water. Instantly something or someone surfaced from the water once again soaking Sollux head to toe with water,he wiped the salty stinging water from his eyes to see his friend,Eridan. "I GOT YOUUUUUU!" He yelled pointing at Sollux with his small pointer finger. "Y-You 2ure.......diid." Sollux said plucking the seaweed from his shoulder tossing it into the water. "Howw are you?" "Um.......fiine? A liittle wet." "2ollux!" "Oh no,that2 my dad,II have two go but IIll be back ok?" Eridan nodded propping himself up on the rock waiting for the return of Sollux.
"2ollux,II have 2ome new2,ok?" Sollux nodded sitting next to his brother. "We're goiing two be moviing to the ciity iin a few day2!" "NOOOOOOOOOO!" Sollux shouted. "Oh come on! IItll be fun!" "B-but II wanna 2tay here!" He wined tears rolling down his red cheeks,his eyes began getting puffy from all the crying,Psi grabbed a tishew and wiped his nose an rubbed the tears away with his thumb. "2ollux,II promii2e wiill come back to the beach duriing 2ummer, ok?" He reassuringly. Psi couldn't hide anything from Sollux,he knew his father had to work extra hard to feed all them and himself,he nodded slightly knowing this was for the best and that it would be easier on his father. It was rather hard to break the bad news to Eridan, but they spent every chance they got together. "Here,you can havve that." Sollux stared down at the small golden ring in his palm,he slipped it on his finger and hugged Eridan tightly. "Thank you."
